Do they still have frozen throttle cable switch in the handle ??? They
will let you idle and not rev up if pin jammed with ice/snow and would maybe
melted out later on...???

I'm watching for others to reply as well...The suspension looks very much like my 96 VK540II and I tried putting mine in by hanging up tail and pulling back on track and only pulled a tendon in two fingers and almost tore the track as well...My book said tip it on side and stuff it in and after...
A battery should be about 12.3 volt with no load and up to 14.5 volts while
charging ... the gap is about right and it may be your meter ?? upper volt varies on
brand etc but a standing battery should be 12.2 to 12.5 volts..
theory being 2.1 volt per cell

Well . I struggled to install the track and susp last night and I just couldn't lift it up into place and
finally followed the directions in tech and flipped it on right side ... all 600lb of it ,
It is a younger mans job or next time , I will find some help. LOL
and I started it up to check...
I added washers to the front side of the coil spring units and because of the angle they sit (flat)
it only seemed to preload the springs a bit..To do waht I wanted would require a block between
the flip up rear rails and the main susp...too much work for me in my limited shop.

I actually have 93 VK540II and noticed they still use the flexible extention to the rear of
the sliders . Wondered if anyone has tried adding washers to tip them up slightly so not
as much track is on the ground riding on hard pack ? Possibly turn better but still leaves a good
footprint when...
Morning ....Most of the quad trac's are branded as Scorpions and they
have an automotive steering wheel and steering box with a drag link
going back to the hinge area. Easy to steer when moving but takes a
number of turns to go lock to lock,,,A very rugged idea with a few short
comings...No...
