Fix power sports (a yami dealer) sells a RAM AIR kit. He also has a COLD AIR KIT. Has anyone here tried this kit ? Just wondering if it's worth the money.
Studboys duel carbide bar is called the deuce bar,the front of the bar has a 90 degree bent to fit up into the ski. They work great on my attak. Just take it easy over those RR tracks.
The 05 warrior's did not come with a rear heat exchanger, BUT yamaha did install some for the one's that had a overheating problem. My guess is that it was a rage part that was installed.
put 214 0n last saturay, on some ruff trails, and the attak really shined. We did around 25 miles boondocking in some deep snow and better ski's would have been nice. All around I loved it, much better then my 03 rx1 and my buddys 05 warror.
Pat hauck sells a kit in his latest catalog. Calls it the K&N Power Up Kit, $250 adds 4 hp. Also says you need his fuel accelerator gizmo for another $300.
I saw and herd a apex and a attak this past weekend one was the hauck special sled that he custom makes with all his good stuff.
The attak had the hauck get er done kit. The exhausts sound very good, not loud, but different. Becouse the hauck exhaust exits out the stock location the sound...
I think everyones getting hung up on the term " RAM AIR ". If the stock air box is as restrictive as any yami air box, allowing more air in can only help. An engine is nothing more then an air pump the more air that goes in, and out the more power it will make. Thats way we go with less...
I have good luck with 75/90 mobile 1 syn. & energy release. I been doing this in 4 dfferent sleds, going back to 95. As far as the amount, The manual says nothing. Put in a little at a time and check it with that dip stick. I havent changed mine yet but it should not take alot 6-8 oz.??
I saw in my Reichards perf. catalog they sell a amsoil oil filter for the rx-1. Knowing amsoils quality it most likley will filter better then the yamaha filter, and at $8.75 it sure beats my dealers price for a filter.
I have been reading the posts about bottoming out, and spring preload set up on the mono sus. On page 8-24 in the owners manual it shows a diagram of the adjuster with numbers 1-7 with # 4 being the stock setting.
I don't see that on my spring. I looked all around and diden't see any numbers...
I know it only takes about two minutes to adj. the track, with one minute spent getting the tools, BUT I think the dealer should have done it to start with. Kida makes a guy wonder what else they they diden't bother to do.
