I have been reading the posts about bottoming out, and spring preload set up on the mono sus. On page 8-24 in the owners manual it shows a diagram of the adjuster with numbers 1-7 with # 4 being the stock setting.
I don't see that on my spring. I looked all around and diden't see any numbers. am I looking at the wrong thing or what???

like red said, you wont see any numbers, but at the end of the shock you see a thing that will turn with a spanner wrench they gave you in your tools, they step up 7 times and with each step it will tighten your spring..
RTK.........I can see where your confusion is. The manual should read "Seven steps from low (soft) to high (hard) with the factory setting set in the middle."

Thanks guys, I thought I was going nuts. something must get lost in the translation from jap to english.
RTX, DEPENDING ON YOUR WEIGHT U MIGHT JUST WANT TO TAKE THE SSHOCK OUT AND PUT IT IN THE NUMBER 2 CLIP I TOOK MINE OUT IT WAS BOTTOMMING TO EASY. I'M 215 I PUT THE SPRING LOAD ON 6 AND THE RA ON HARD AND STILL WAS BOTTOMMING. BUT TRY ADJUSTING THE SHOCK FISRT AND SEE HOW THAT WORKS. JACK YOUR SLED OFF THE GROUND IT WILL BE MUCH EASIER TO ADJUST THE PRELOAD.
