    Ride with a Machz

jtssrx: From my experience you are right on for a stock RX1, a stock Z and a turbo RX1. I also feel that the turbo is limited far more buy traction than by power. On true hard packed the turbo will be much faster than the other two it never runs out of legs. :ORC I think the track will blow...

RX1 turbo pushed home by an 05 Z

jtsrx the Z lost compression on the pto side cylinder. I am running a Bender rear mount that I ordered last spring and my friends installed while I was laid up. It has low compression pistons and head gaskets. I have 1750 miles and no problems as yet.

    Excorcist for simons skis

The ripsaw track will ride on and be supported by the lugs. As the lugs flex you get the unstable feeling. A small amount of studs will eliminate the problem. Dave

    2004 RX1 ER...VS. 2005 RX1 ER

We found that the 05 will beat a 04 handly in most conditions where traction is an issue. Example the two sled run about the same on grass and from a rolling start on hard pack all other conditions the 05 is gone!!

22" of Snow and Monoshock Performance

The diehard M10 guys in our group can't beleive how well the mono glides over the bumps. The say when they follow the mono it seems to float and they are bouncing around.

    first impressions 05rx1

fxr I am about 200 lbs nude. I started at preload 4 and the clicker adjuster at 3. It was great. I then set the preload to 3 and the clicker at 9 and got a simular ride (great). I will leave it at this setting because it gives me more range of adjustment with the clicker. The transfer is set...

    Weight of 05 RX1 ER

We weighed sleds on a certified scale with the following results: :ORC We weighed six 05RX1's and they were 566 to 572 lbs. They were ready to ride except for gas. They all had about 1 gallon of gas. My 04 Warrior, returned to stock, was 624 lbs after subtracting the weight of the...

    Question for Seafoam users

We put a 1/3 or half can in each gas fill just like we did when we added isopropal. If we have a machine that burns oil we add one can to the gas, full tank, and one can to the oil. We then run (drove) most of the gas out, then we change the oil and filter. The oil is then very black. We...

    Break-IN/Hard or easy

Everyone we knew that was burning oil stopped when they used Seafoam on a regular basis. We also felt that clutching with a maintance RPM above 10,200 was a major factor. Dave

    Oil For RX-1

Most of our group ran 0-40 Amsoil last year with great results. Cold starting wis very good. Some ran 5-30 Mobile 1 with simular results. This year we are changing over to 0-30 Yamaha's new oil mainly for avaliability. We all are running the water heater by Yamaha this season.

    Break-IN/Hard or easy

The leak down on a 13,000 mile plus sled was less than 5% on all cylinders and no oil consumption. He broke it in as follows: Drove easy for first 20 miles with short burst of full throttle. Then longer bursts of full throttle for 100 miles. After that it was drive nornal avoiding full...

I have the best wife in the whole world

Convert you better change your by line to reflect the new status. My wife also felt sorry for me, like yours did, and said I could ride the turbo so I can keep up. Our sleds are both all flat black (stealth), and no primer gray bottom panels.

srxtwins, Most of our guys will be Polaris and Doo riders. The Yamaha part of our group would love to meet up with you guys but we have to make compromises to get along.
