I picked up four of these yesterday at the dealer. From what I understand the new part number (99999-03989-00) is the same donut, but includes the allen screw that everyone seems to be stripping when trying to remove.
Price was $20.99CDN each for reference.
Cheers,
Dale
Thanks for the reply. I did a search and read that post, just missed the very last message. I have that same issue, and it looks like tonight I am grinding the top portion of the bumper end to get the bracket to fit. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a spacer of something I was missing. I...
I am installing a Apex Seat Jack on my 40th Anniversary 121" Apex. The brackets almost fit after I trim the plastic shroud, but they just won't quite rest flat on the top of the tunnel. The reason for this is they are touching the top side of the end of the bumper. I have this same scenario on...
I ordered a set of Skinz semi rigid hand guards from Royal Distributing after Christmas and they were backordered. I received a call yesterday that they would not have them this year and I should try and order again in the fall. I believe Skinz makes them for Yamaha also and wonder if there was...
I have this same sled! I also have only slightly more mileage on it than you do, and have found the same thing you are experiencing. What I did so far to help was shortened the limiter strap one hole, increased the spring pressure on the rear spring till I get a stiffer one. This seems to have...
What is the stock spring rate in the Apex GT mono suspension? I assume it is in the 4.XXKg/mm. I can probably get a few of the slightly used Yamaha Ti springs for the YZ250 bikes that came stock, but as far as I know they were 4.9Kg/mm. At least in my '06 YZ250 the Ti spring was that rate.
If...
They are basically 2 - 7/16" bars welded 0.850" apart (C - C) on a 3/16" thick plate that is 1.250" wide.
Yes, I just happen to have them on my desk and a set of calipers handy.
I could post a photo, or if you have a current '09 Yamaha accessory catalog, they have them on one of the last pages...
I just received the ACS dual carbides! These things look mean and are built heavy. I am going to install these first to get an good impression on how the sled handles differently, then will drop the front end down to see how that effects handling. I hope these help stop the pushing in the...
I am wondering if anyone has tried them and how they performed?
I just ordered a set myself (6" for a non studded Apex) and will see how they work. They look very similar to the woodies duallies setup. I saw them in the Yamaha catalog, but ordered them through a dealer account I have. I have...
I would recommend setting up the suspension proper. Either by getting some hints from other peoples setup, or tinkering yourself. Also, I did the move to Yammy this year and when I had my sled on the stand the other night doing some suspension tinkering myself I took a look at the carbides, and...
I would love to see a video of this! I can picture it in my head, but seeing it in motion sure would help.
I have always owned Ski-Doo and recently purchased a new Apex GT. For the Doo, I would always remove the rear skid. Not necessarily because it was necessary, but I liked deicing it and...
