I am wondering if anyone has tried them and how they performed?
I just ordered a set myself (6" for a non studded Apex) and will see how they work. They look very similar to the woodies duallies setup. I saw them in the Yamaha catalog, but ordered them through a dealer account I have. I have used the ACS carbides on my previous sled (Ski-Doo rev) and have always been pleased with the performance, quality and how long they lasted.
BTW: I am new to Yamaha this year and running an '08 Apex GT 40th. I found the sled pushed bad in the corners on the stock setup and was a little soft. I have cranked the mono spring up a little and also move up one hole on the limiter strap so far. Will wait until I put the carbides on before messing with it much more. I have just over 200 miles on her so far!
Cheers,
Dale

You should also lower your front end. Loosen jam/lock nut on the top of the front springs. Raise the front of the sled in the air. Loosen the spring off until it is loose in the collars. Then tighten until there is no slop but no pressure on the spring. Measure the threads left and repaet on other spring. Re-tighten jam/lock nuts. This will lower the front so the a-arms will be almost parallel with the ground.
If you are having a hard time with the jam/lock nuts try using a flathead screwdriver. Place the screwdriver in one of the slots of the nut and tap it with a hammer in the direction to loosen. Mine were on extremely tight and this worked well with no Channel lock or pipe wrench marks on the nuts (lol).
Cheers.

I just received the ACS dual carbides! These things look mean and are built heavy. I am going to install these first to get an good impression on how the sled handles differently, then will drop the front end down to see how that effects handling. I hope these help stop the pushing in the corners and tracking on the trails!
Will taking that much of the spring tension off the front end not make it too soft? I typically ride groomed trails, but if it gets a little bumpy I am concerned it will dive hard in the holes if it is too soft.

Typically, these types of dual runner dual carbides tend to push more than a single runner would, however I never tried that style.
How far apart are the bars/carbides on each runner?

They are basically 2 - 7/16" bars welded 0.850" apart (C - C) on a 3/16" thick plate that is 1.250" wide.
Yes, I just happen to have them on my desk and a set of calipers handy.
I could post a photo, or if you have a current '09 Yamaha accessory catalog, they have them on one of the last pages in there.

Dale

No need to post, just curious to see if there were other carbides out there that are farther apart than that.

Worth it though.
