Simple..
The kit yamaha should of already built. It works, how cant it? My piss ant Mitsubishi turbo in the crappy old turbo dodge, which is smaller than that thing AND runs of exhaust is almost always making boost and you notice 2lbs of boost. If they change geometry of the turbo vanes it...
Nice..
Looks like chain may be too tight. Look at that gear, wow Yamaha sure is getting cheap, that gear has a terrible surface finish. Its probable these are too soft as mine looked like that slightly. Bet they had teeth breaking off so they reduced harness or case depth.
I understand form...
Didnt see it in the tech area? I heard of issues with slamming brake then nailing it and ppl breaking what not, but I didnt want to assume anything. Again thx.
Greased the drive bearings, doing the chaincase side first. Well I finished up the speedo/secondary side and noticed the secondary clutch needs to be moved quite a bit before the track moves in either direction. Is this because of reverse?? Never had that issue on the SRX and Ive done two of...
I thought the bearing was sealed on chain side to prevent slivers of steel or expected wear to enter the bearings?? But then again the upper bearings dont have seals so IDK..IM going to JB weld a nice magnet to the side of my chain case so itll catch that garbage before harming all the bearings.
I see..
I just purchased an Apex Gt after suffering the SRX no-action skid's, and wasnt very happy/impressed. Thought I had the world by the #*$&@ but by the time the ride was over it wasnt a smile I was wearing. The thing booted me,bottomed out and dam near embarrassed me with a near miss...
WHat??
It smells good!
Whats it take to get to the exhaust donut, do I need to drop skid?? I took all the plastic off so I could get reasonably close to engine and it sounds fine.
The clutch side is louder but I'm guessing its the clutch making all the racket??
Okay...
I think its slightly annoying that my TY account HAS to be a FOURSTROKE account and not a carry-over of my 2 stroke???
Anyhow sled has 3800 miles and my location is Lapeer, MI.
Again your help is appreciated!!
Oil
I checked the oil when I bought it ((used last week)) and then changed the oil before riding. I put 150 or so miles on it in the UP and no issues. I checked the oil and its okay? Ill prolly remove the platic parts so I can get to the source of the noise. It sounds like noise is underneath...
It is noisy at 1st then about partially warmed up the engine? seems strangely noisy but after it warms all the way it seems fine? I put hands over the exhaust thinking it the donuts but the engine nearly stalled. Any thoughts?
Also I never relized this power module was installed, what are the...
This time around
Yeah Ill prolly do the same. Ill pop off the seal, grease then re-install seal as they are not bad yet BUT when I do have to change Im doin some type of grease zert mod so I dont need to tear down.
Srx
I dont know about APEX but the SRX does not, as a natter of fact the seal faces the gears. With the mileage the APEX's are getting on bearings Id say they are designed the same way.
