    Nice Tips

    They will not last, They need to be powder coated w/heat type of material mine was poder coated 2 years ago and still look ok but they do get hair line cracks in them from expanding and contracting from the heat. I hope this helps.

    Most of the new one will go though bags ect. as far as the cold, there made to be out in the cold too but batteries will not last too long though. thats why i hard wired mine in, because i was going though 12 battery's in a full days ride 14 hrs or so with the light on most of the riding.

    I use the Garman GPS lll . It has allways been right on. I hard wired it in 2 years ago and its been a very good unit. If you GPS was off that much 1000 ft, you had the wrong DaTum set.     I believe the answer is yes, There different arrows on the dip stick because chain case is diff size from a stock chain case. make one stick for both applacations.

    instaling reverse ?? time

    I just put one in last night on a v max 700 took about 2 hrs and then about 15 min to adj the linkage and add oil. iv'e done this about 5 times only. So i figure the Dealer shouls take 2 hours comp, so i would hope.
