    Knock Light Causes

Full shift- this is exactly what is happening to me! Feathering the throttle at higher speeds will lead to LESS knock but if you abruptly pin it...it will knock. I was using 91 gas with 3 oz Lucas octane per 5 gallons to make 94. Maybe I need more? I will try sea foam too for possible moisture...

    Knock Light Causes

Ran the 240 all day today. Knock sensor once at 8950 RPM. But later in the day hit 9090 with no knock. Seems inconsistent. I did notice pinned on the 240 tune boost maxed out at 14.8 on the meter. Is that right? Overall sled ran awesome and was great day.

    Knock Light Causes

Again this is my sled that started the thread. Today on the TY ride I had one opportunity to get on it safely and the knock light triggered on 270 tune at 8950 max RPM. Same gas as I had yesterday when testing and no light. Sled runs great all day until you really open it up. Maybe my knock...

    Knock Light Causes

This is my sled. Just did some testing adding Lucas 6 oz per 10 gallons per what I read. 270 tune hit 107 on speedo loose snow in a shorter run did it 5 times . Max RPM was 9090 and no knock light! Prior to octane boost RPMs struggled to get above 8750 before knock light kicked in. Boost meter...

    2014 Viper LTX SE skid

My Dad and I pulled the skid on a 2014 Viper with 7400 miles. We have countless issues, corrosion, bent cross bar, bolts broken, some boogies need replacing, straps fraying and even Dupont’s are shot! We are having an issue getting the upper bogies off. See pic... obviously the wheel puller...

Hit 7300 miles this weekend on my 17 tuned SW

My last ride of the season I experienced the same clunking noise at slow speeds. Very annoying! I also blew a shock seal on my right front this season too. 2017 LTX-DX 2700 miles. Have not had a chance to dig into the sled yet.

    Sidewinder Problems and Warranty Items.

I blew a front shock seal on My 2017 LTX-DX at 2000 miles. I took it to a dealer and had it replaced for $146 thinking it was covered under YES warranty and it is not. I knew there was a issue when I saw a puddle of oil on my ski and I just had the dealer replace it on the spot because I was...

Yamaha Poll: What Skis are you running on your Sidewinder?

LTX-DX Woody's 6 and stock 4s no studs. Very jittery on early morning rides on frozen slop which happen a lot this year.(crap winter in WI) Never really felt comfortable all season because corner to corner I wasn't sure what to expect. I did notice the best handling was when the trails were a...
