Hi Guys, I have an 07 apex mtn . Not sure if the 2 issues are related but last we I had to replace my heat exchanger under the running board due to a leak. I lost all of the coolant when it broke ... had repaired and replaced heat exchanger I added about 4 liters of antifreeze . Sled started...
Yes I tend to agree... Unless you are into really deep mountain powder I wuld tend to keep it at around 140- 144 with 1 3/4 paddle assuming you are doing this because you do a good bit of riding off trail ....If u don't need the big paddle try 1 1/4 ....my last sled had 144 I found it great...
I must be honest ...I was starting to get concerned ...it just seemed to be more then an air bubble at this point.... It do stall with no pressure ..only runs for 15-20 seconds....I guess the first and last time I will be hitting the key when draining oil!!!! lol....Thanks again for all your...
Hi Guys ...kviper wins the challenge lifted the back end and hit the thottle a couple of times ...I left the vent plug on back of the engine open, so air would escape ...didn't code or cut out  !!!! tried again this morning and didn't touch throttle all is fine .....bring on the white...
Hi guys, I had the oil presure switch out and examined it ... I tested it and it was reading 12.4 to 12.5 ohms I am assuming that is enough resistance....the only thing I did different in this oil change was when I was draining the oil, I did hit the key just enough to turn the crank so it would...
Hi Guys.. was away ...back to the issue again....tried all suggestions...I tested the resistance on the presure switch it is reading 12.4 ohms...I assume that is good...also checked the wiring going to the switch ,that is fine.... located the oil presure release screw back by the manifold and...
is the oil presure plug a black plug that screws with your fingers or plyers on top of the engine next to the spark plugs on clutch side??? if not, where is it and how do I idenitfy it???
thanks guys... tried draining it ...that was the first thing I did... I am not going to start again ... I am going to try the oil presure plug and also check the sensor today... if that don't work it's off to the dealer!!!
Yes there is oil in it ...lol it doesn't appear to be circulating as when I took of the oil filter there was vitually no oil in it ...maybe a table spoon .... I was now staring to think electrical ...I don't think it has a fuse ...where would I find the sensor...and how can you test it
Hi guys ... I was initially thinking air lock as well ...Thanks for the earier advise of tipping on a 45 degree angle to allow air to flow up to the resevoir..tried this ,left it propped up on a good angle for about 30 min ... laid it back flat on floor ,started the engine ...after 20 seconds it...
Hi guys...thanks for the earlier tips...I am assuming it is air locked as well ... Leaned sled on about a 45 degree angle with the oil pan facing upward so the air would flow up ... left it like that for about 30 minutes ....laid it back flat and started it ....stalled after 20 seconds and coded...
Thanks guys
actually that was going to be the next thing I tried ...to bad I didn't think of that first....before I stripped it down to the oil filter!!!!but what the hell another opportunity to pick it apart!!!!
I changed my oil in the spring ...after completed the job and put the sled back together and started it ... the engine only ran for about 20 seconds then cut out and coded 30... I went to the dealer where the tech told me it was airlocked ... I have tried blowing out some of the vent hoses ...I...
