    Scratchers......Getting Cheaper!!!

Great question Mike. I believe different year winders might have a different assortment of holes in the rails. Here is how I mounted them on my 22 LTX SE.

    Scratchers......Getting Cheaper!!!

Been using these ice scratchers for years and have had great luck with them. Used to pay $100 for a pair, however over the years, they have kept creeping down in price. I saw a pair today on eBay for just under $27 bucks. For the money, I don't think there is anything better and wanted to share.

    1,000ft

I'm trying to compare those speeds to my winder. I'm not sure if 109mph is 1/3 throttle or 1/4 throttle. Can someone help?? Lol

    ADAPT Verses TAPP

I'm reading these posts be have a question. Some folks claim the Adapt is 4mph faster than the Team. Some folks claim the power block clutch is 4mph faster than the Adapt. Is my math correct in assuming the power block clutch is 8 mph faster than the Team? I could sure use more speed......so...

Shake down for 1000’ speed run

Max 19 makes more top speed, but I think Max 20 might be better in 1000ft. Test both and datalog. Do you have a ram air? If not, put one. It will raise AFR a little and make more boost to boot. Add octane to 96 and lower your FPR till you get 12.3 AFR. If it helps, I priced one together on...

    Highest Speeds on Sidewinder/Thundercat

I appreciate the info TF, and I'll be keeping a close eye on this. If I can get the performance of this sled to mimic your big cat....I'll be happy!! Lol

    Highest Speeds on Sidewinder/Thundercat

I have limited time on this Team, and although it doesn't have many supporters, I think it actually works pretty well. The self adjusting deflection keeps the belt tight and in my opinion it delivers better holeshot and midrange punch than my Yamaha primary. Based on my limited testing, I...

    Highest Speeds on Sidewinder/Thundercat

One ply tracks are very dangerous for big speed. At high speeds, the track comes off the driveshaft and bunches up before straightening back out as it makes its way along the skid. They are inefficient and scrub speed in my opinion. If you were to put a small lug, 2 ply track on that monster...

    Highest Speeds on Sidewinder/Thundercat

Naturally, this subjective to the number of high speed pulls. The telltale sign is when you have to tighten the track every ride. This is a sign the cords are starting to break and the end is near. At 120mph, 5k miles is doable, especially for a 2 ply, 1 inch or 1.25 lug. Studs, higher lugs...

    Highest Speeds on Sidewinder/Thundercat

Yes, I too always shoot for the quickest way from A to B. Unfortunately, in my neck of the woods, the distance between A and B is 2 miles. Lol All testing is done on groomed trail with scratchers down. This might scrub some speed depending on conditions, but cuts down on heat and adds...

    Highest Speeds on Sidewinder/Thundercat

This fall I bought the wifey a used 19 ZR9000 Sno Pro. My initial intentions were to leave it stock (which is plenty for her) and put a big windy, mirrors, backrest so I could use it as a touring sled for trips. But then I thought, "What if I'm on a trip and one of the boys burns me?" I'll...

I've put a Yamaha primary on a Cat. Worked well, but I felt the TEAM primary performs better with the Boss secondary.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Im not a fan, as I like to keep things simple, but they work.

I would export your datalog to TD via email, then call TD, and explain your issues to Mike. He and Ben will look it over and point you in the right direction.

    SD 24 Code

Well, I thought I purchased on Amazon, but upon further research I realized I bought it on eBay. Per Mikes comment, I verified it is a 4.9 version. I guess the delay in getting it to heat up was all in my head. Thanks for the comments.

    SD 24 Code

Mike, How can I tell if it's the Bosch 4.9 version? The only difference that I can see is the length of the wires. My original wires were much shorter and a cleaner installation. I attached a pic of the sticker on the box if it helps, please advise. Normally, I start the sled in the garage...
