Sorry for the late reply. I am new to the forum thing. gitrdun was right. I had the inner part rusted onto the shaft. I used pb blaster and once it broke free it was no problem removing. Sorry for not getting back. I appreciate the help.

So, as an update. the new grips had 3 wires and the stock heaters only had 2. I ran a ground off the new grips and connected the other 2 wires to the stock 2 wires. worked fine today in -14C temps.

They are just an aftermarket from a supplier. I just didn't want to blow a fuse or something by wiring wrong.

Today I purchased aftermarket handwarmers to install on a 2008 Nytro. The warmers have blk/red/ white wires and instructions say that 1 is high 1 is low and 1 is ground.
