Good news, bad news....
Good news: there's 4 to 5" 's of snow in Illinois, right now. Can get in a day of testing @ 1,000ft.
Bad news: I'm 1300miles away (Florida) flight leaves tomorrow at 7am back to Illinois.
Sleds semi apart. Have to somehow make it happen.
This will be epic...haha.
I think the comment "turbo is maxed out @ 240hp." Is a loaded response. Especially at 10,000ft and holding the flipper to the bar endlessly.
I believe it to being closer to the truth than the number 300hp, from an efficiency standpoint.
Wisconsin doesn't have a speed limit during daylight hours.
Only at night, 55mph.
But in my 30+ yrs of riding, I've never seen DNR out at night.
Yes, the irony in it all....lol.
"Bar Hopper" is just a term. Basically its associated with a bar & grille. Generally speaking you're on or near a large lake overlooking a parking area with sleds on it. and racing on a lake gives you the field of view of 1/4mile in either direction. Then sleds might roll up so you know who's...
Slapping together a 135mph sled... Congratulations. And the fact you guys do this "on trail" lol. I couldn't. Thankfully we have big lakes to stretch our legs, when needed. Kinda helps keep us somewhat comfortable.
In my case, the grease was squeezed out of the mating splines, back into the cavity of snub shaft.
As stated earlier by others as the motor spins it's going to push the grease outward not inward.
Snow keeps us interested, that's for sure. As usual (end of season) pricing on used is dropping fast. I see lots of brand new (used) sleds as well.
I call it panic selling, at this point. People get discouraged, etc. it's just a phase.
It's a '17, I'm totally guessing $45k +/-
Absolutely...
Yeah, somehow we need to increase production for these manufacturers in order to cut costs to consumer.
We need Taylor Swift to jump on a Cat! Just once....lol.
Very complex to be sure. Ever changing conditions, make it almost impossible.
I was taught from the group to figure out traction B4 clutching.
So, if it were me, I'd try to narrow that down, first. Suspension changing can yield big dividends, dependent on riding style & conditions.
With the...
Fortunately/unfortunately most of my riding is slow speed switchbacks. 80% of my riding is 35mph+/-
I can't remember going 100mph on the trails?!?! Too scared...lol!
