Sounds like you have oil pressure, I'd do like fatchance says and change the sensor.

Then use the black wire at the pump as your ground source.

Do you have a good ground for both of those circuits? The solid black wire is ground.

How cold was it overnight? Is it possible there was moisture trapped somewhere in the oil circuit that was froze? Was the oil in the filter hot? Was the oil in the tank hot?

Joking aside I don't know for sure. They are asking a lot from an engine that size and only four cylinders. I still drive my 2011 Ford 3.5 turbo that I bought new and tuned the first year. It has about 395HP. It amazes me the nice broad power it has, I have yet to be beaten by any of the V-8's...

I stand corrected. I looked it up, it's over $140 which is twice the price of the Winder top gear.

The top gear isn't very expensive.

Fully agree that the more time a track spends at high speeds shortens the expected life a lot.

How many miles is too many on any track to take up to those speeds? 5000 and over?

Very common. The bushing is what fails thus creating the potential for the gear to get damaged. How bad is the female gear damaged?

Most of the time this is caused by the top gear bushing failing. It only takes a few failed shifts to cause the grinding of those little teeth.

Wasn't there someone recently trying to get over $30G for one of those!
