I ended up with a Can Am 850 XTP. The 1000 XTP I rode was great but pragmatism won out as try as I might, there really wasn't anywhere to use the power on the trails we ride here. Very technical, lots of climbing, loose rock single track, canadian shield, water but not much actual mud, etc...
Without the speed sensing from the ECU the EPS will likely work but just not be speed sensitive. Is it the same model eps as the apex? If so, you could try disconnecting the canbus on an apex to see if it still functions.
I go to the deere dealer year around for one reason or another, they sell a lot of equipment for winter use. My buddy has an entire fleet of deere equipment that only gets used for snow removal. Having said that, the local box stores are probably not moving as much deere, but the local tractor...
Just responding to the warranty issue. You cannot just sell the business and have the buyer shut down the product line and the warranties and other obligations that go with it. It would be grounds for near instantaneous approval of a class action lawsuit, at least two federal agencies would...
They would at minimum have to run out the warranties on all existing machines and if Textron wants to bulk up the revenue prior to the sale, all machines sold between now and whenever the deal closes. The knock-on effect is that they have to carry parts through warranty and beyond (as they will...
The social media echo chamber? I am not discounting the rumor, I just don't see the benefit to a company like deere who has $90B in assets and the resources to build anything they want to. Its not like Cat has anything to offer other than brand but companies do silly things all the time.
The Deere snowmobile legacy won’t matter to any new buyer and I just cannot see the culture there Deere) wrapping its head around a Powersports culture. They gain very little for the Gator in my opinion. But. Let’s speculate who *should* buy it.
From a pure outsiders perspective, I am not sure how it would make sense. When one company purchases another, especially at John Deeres level, it would be to grow market share, not to get into a new market. I could see Deere purchasing another tractor company because they had a more advanced...
Completely off topic but evaluating the grizzly and the latest outlanders I noticed that the spelling in the can am forums and social communities is atrocious. I mean - really bad. Just an observation...
Back on topic. The current grizzly just doesn't stand up to the competition when it...
I couldn't find that patent so its hard to say whether its good, bad, or just 'other'.
Big companies file patents all the time. The patent (any patent) is just an agreement to share a trade secret in the public domain for the right to protection from someone else copying your secret. IOW by...
You answered your own question. If you are concerned about the oil, use a catch can/separator for the PCV line. It really is more of a concern with direct injection engines. Note that the link above is about the roll over valve, different thing altogether.
The goal will likely be a lower target, say a doo 900 t class sled in a lighter weight chassis. Companies like textron don't try to build world beaters, the strive to build me too+ (similar but better in one or two small areas). That is the likely outcome of mixing bean counters and...
Dorman has nylon automotive push pins. Most manufacturers do have nylon push pins, but they still aren't the same. For the price, its worth sticking to OEM or someone like dorman who has a reputation to hang on to.
With doo having the dominant market share, and growth split between Polaris and Doo, Yamaha could see the end of the winter powersports from a long ways away. The problem with the doo approach is that it is a reactionary measure based on a single year of history. Next year is going to be a...
