Did 70 miles. Was pissed BOB didn't make it but the flame did back up duty like a
Boss!
It was all over shadowed by my LEGAL 13 yr old daughter driving for her first time alone and handled Killa bee like a pro! She had sooo much fun and already pulling up the forecast on her own and bitching...
Well that was short lived, started it up, loaded up killa bee then came back it chugging on 2 cyl until its death. Fouled a plug for sure. Was pig rich. Its never done that in its life. Must be something off in the tune.
On the orange flame tomorrow I guess!
Jack up the rear and spin the track with the engine to see if you can replicate it. I had a square chunk of rubber flapping around where a stud ripped out one time.
Turbo sleds are a lot of work, so be ready. I stretch out chains in the chaincase every other year. Heat management needs focus. The front mount header were prone to cracking based on internet but I am not sure how many others who didn't crack ever piped up to say that. I went with a Impulse...

Ouch! Check the oil for glitter, if its a rod bearing and as bad as it sounds, it should be full of glitter. If the oil is clean, I believe the Nytro/Vec motors have a cam chain tensioner recall and that caused some ticking as well. However nothing that bad IIRC.
So I am a boosted Apex guy but had a Nitrous RX1 back in the day and wanted to boost it so I have some 10 year old knowledge so take that for what it's worth.
Carb hats can leak so back in the day many swapped out for aluminum billet ones.
If its a built engine you NEED to understand the...
I hated the monoshock, chucked in the garbage many years ago. ZX2 for the win! Truly turned it from a GT tourer into a sporty sled capable of hanging with anything in any condition. It does work for many though so if it works run it, I do not miss skid maintenance though.
