Your just a phone call and some dollars away from many after market clutch set ups that can make improvements for a busy man like you! Most guys that spend alot of time and money getting their sleds clutched properly will not give that information out to everyone, nor should they as Iam sure...

Under circumstances your describing not much of a choice sometimes, pulling down a groom trail or road is no problem, middle of nowhere not so much… 17 years on my Apex and it has never needed towing… Now thats a testament to a great machine along with proper maintenance..
One way to extend the useful life of these is to add additional hard weld on both front and rear and then grind it the same profile as the carbide inserts.. I fabricated a jig that is used to hold the runner while sharpening the hard weld and worn carbide therefore keeping a sharp edge on both ...

Good point on 2 smoke , we forget those days following 2 strokes on a trail ride .. especially a rich running 4 jets too big plug fouling new machine set up from factory to save on warranty claims 2 stroke …. Lol yup those were the norm…….
