As weather goes nothing is consistent and its pretty cazy these days, one thing for sure it will come and go fast so you need to be ready… Our lives are not based on needs, but are navigated on our wants to achieve maximum enjoyment in all we do… Whatever Mother Natures brings I will be out...
With 2024 half over where does that time go.. Is 2025 time for winter to return to a more normal colder and snowy weather patterns in many area’s? What’s normal anymore? The last three winters in my area were certainly not normal and were very warm and mild.. Early forcast again report colder...
Woodys for years and very little issues with wheels once I changed to a small oversize Ski Doo rubber wheel, believe they were rubber on plastic and 1/8 “ larger than stock yamaha Apex wheels.. No issue with sidewinders wheels with 128 studs ….
My point that I was making was with your weather and the ability to ride more than the piss poor winters some have been having lately you can ride and ride and put on the many miles on your sled which translates into more of a need to replace parts… yes nothing like a sidewinder….
I suspect running a real tight track a graphite slider such as tiger sliders or DuPonts may have some merit in low lube conditions or high speeds on ice.. I could never measure any gains over the years… but the main thing was they never hurt my results either.. Were they worth the money spent ...
I agree at todays rates even auto dealerships like Car Fax is quoting 12 to 13% on used car loans with good credit… Bad credit it goes much higher like 18% How many units will they sell at those rates, same with sleds… Dealers have no choice but to sell at a loss if they have alot of units…
Yes when prime rate was at its lowest but rates have went up since that point and what is the typical floor plan rate at this time? Even if he has no interest on those units, he still has inventory that is a year old and has decreased in value… sleds still depreciate fast in a buyers market as...
So your saying it only cost $40.00 per month to carry a sidewinder under a floor plan so thats $480.00 per year … So lets just use $14,000 as a cost of sled to dealer thats about 2.86% which seems a little low but if that is their cost then no big deal to carry over a couple of sleds.. In the...
Here’s a good question …. What do you guys think the average depreciation for a new sidewinder that a dealer carries over to the next year ( lack of sale ) I figured it was about the same as what a dealer would pay on his floor plan interest cost or about $1,600.00 dollars…Sleds that are a year...
Yes your right a on dealers adding to advertise price.. Always get out the door including warranty or anything extra added… I also had them give me a big discount on extra parts like studs, carbides, mirrors, extra belt and so on.. I also negotiated a lower 5 year warranty charge so be assertive...
Either Dealers sell at discounted prices or face the cost of holding units over summer.. Either way it cost them money…. And if they are on a floor plan as many are, it really cost them to hold on to non-current models… Funny how it flips to a buyers market so fast…
Yup there are good deals on new sleds if you can find a dealer willing to part with a sled at lower than current market prices and in my case a price lower than he had in it or so they stated.. Iam guilty of stating that most sleds are overpriced and we are not making a smart investment when...
I would love to do this mod to both my winders but it seems Iam always riding in some wet slop, open water and its more important to keep everything sealed and dry than it is to remove panels under sled… I seal everything so no moisture can enter including bearings, belly pan access and all...
I have witnessed every oil under the sun run in chaincase and very few are really a problem. Probably automatic transmission fluid is substituted more than anything else cause it is next to nothing especially if your using used transmission oil… anything that can stay thin when cold, thicker...
There was a very good reason Yamaha and Cat formed that partnership and I believe if Cat could have produced a good four stroke they would have years ago.. Lets just face the fact that producing the quality of a 998 turbo motor is easier said than done.. We all wish they would, but the question...
