JMO but i wouldn't buy a 1 ply for these sleds but that's me. way to thin of a track with the torque these have. i know a lot of guys run them without issues but....
Sucks but lesson learned when you buy something used or second hand. always check with the manufacturer for your application before buying it if you're not sure.
i ran regular studs, 1.45" with taller nuts since its a 2 ply with no issues. i did a 4-2-4 etc pattern with the 4 studs being doubles. i liked the way the track performed for sure, much better then the original ripsaw but it didn't last as long. ya the lugs are a bit softer but it's the inside...
DTJ. keep an eye on the inside lugs as well. mine had cords coming out of both sides of the lugs and cracks starting on my C35. couple of the outside lugs had cuts starting as well and that is after approx 8500km of use and i run studs. not sure what i'm going to go with for next winter. some...
i was looking at camso for tracks for next winter, not sure what to do but only have 4 choices for me. id like to reuse my studs with the 1.35 cobra track but i'd like to read feedback on it first. Not sure if i want to go back to the stock 1.25 , or prestudded ripsaw or go to the 1.6 prestudded.
Steiner. Really?? i've got almost 25000km and i have never had those types of problems/damage running studs on my XTX and i ride it hard but i don't do roadway jumps thou. LOL i have had to replace the u brackets holding the protectors thou but i have modified those since and still holding up well.
Well after adding another 3000 or so km this winter it looks like I'm going to have to replace that talon next winter. I've got approx 8500km use out of it. Some of the lugs have some cracks started and some of the inside lugs have a lot of cords showing as well on each side. It does have great...
It's no different then idler wheel bearings, they need to be checked , cleaned out and then repacked. I've never had too but I will do them next fall during my preseason maintenance. If need be i'll replace them then.
I came from the SRX. With the 4 stroke you'll need to learn not to back off the throttle all the way coming into corners at speed otherwise it'll nose dive from the engine braking. it does save your brake pads thou LOL. that was the hardest part to remember but didn't take long to catch on...
nice 08. You'll love the ohlins, i added them to the front of mine. My buddy had the LTX 136" track. he added the 13mm sway bar and pilot skis. handled better with no darting or ski lift but still a bit heavy steering. you might not have a problem with it but i needed the EPS with my shoulder...
