any aftermarket one will work. i have tried most of them over the years and a good suspension set up helps them last longer as i was getting as many miles out of cheapest ones as guys where getting out of duponts.
yes. looks like. had to go aftermarket for my brother on his 09 mtx with the 162" skid.
you might be able to get away with a set from a 2016 to 2018 apex xtx with the 146" skid as i did have to cut some off on my 11 with the 144" skid when i put a set on it.
the ones RobX-1 are what i use for any tunnel repairs.
my 1st one was this one https://www.harborfreight.com/3-16-inch-air-hydraulic-riveter-93458.html
wore it out and now have a mac tool one but did a crap load of rivits before i retired it.
you could try my primary clutch set up as it will crawl at less than 5mph where as stock clutching wants to be doing 15 mph in the sled.
my set up is drag n flies with the heel having 3 grams of weight in it with the black spring (if memory serves). it does loose some top end but the gain in...
welcome!
there are guys that have no issues with the primary and there are guys that have nothing but issues. you do need to look after that roller issue before it gets worse.
the only thing that is going to be mentioned is to tack the screws in the chain case chain roller as they have been...
there was lots of room on the 09 rtx i made into an xtx with the 9 tooth drivers for the 1.5" track i put on it. with the stock 8 tooth that came on the mtx/xtx sleds, there should be no issue. be aware if using composit track, they tend to be on the snug side for suspension install, so i...
i unloaded my 16 apex xtx with no studs out of RobX-1 trailer last year at the ty ride when we trailered to the snow to ride. had more trouble putting it back in my trailer than in his.
still searching for a hood for an older sled that the kids ride more. gotta go through the 16 xtx skid as i patched a few issues last year with it and need to install the new skis on it. otherwise just gotta grease them all again with a good look over for good measure.
nice score.
that milage is low enough that it should have no worries other than the normal sr chassis issues.
if it is an xtx model sled, be aware that it probably has the un coupled suspension witch likes to lift the front end on hard acceleration.
on the apex, you can go with almost any aftermarket one as they are way easier to replace than on a phazer or any of the rs/sr chassis sleds. i would go with a middle of the road one price wise as have not had much luck with getting the cheapest ones to last much beyond their warenty period...
