In my opinion Yamaha has been in corporate profit mode since the 2012 Vector. They are not dumping big dollars into R&D for sleds, just enough for refinements. The market is not growing enough to make it worth it for them. Unlike Polaris and somewhat BRP, Yamaha and Textron don't need...
Craig,
Do you think the power steering is what she is liking even more, or is it the chassie with the power steering? My wife has a 2012 Vector and loves the power steering! Just wondering if we upgraded to a Viper would I have to add the power steering like you did?

In my opinion, from what we have seen is that we will get either a rebadged blast and or a small four stroke, air cooled four stroke, at about 40 hp. Also I believe every thing else will stay the same accept the ski's! Jarret likes single keel ski's in his video so that is what we will get. Cat...
Your right on, on not adding up! After watching that video it makes you wonder why they build sleds. Its kind a like they are talking out of both sides of their mouth! Sorry for the negative comments, its just very frustrating for me as a Yamaha fan.
Watching this video brings tears to my eyes knowing the resources and technolgy the company has and they won't build a snowmobile for their loyal customers! Very sad.
I'm probably not in the right forum for this question. Sorry Moderators! My question is does Woody's make a slim Jim for the C&A XPT ski's? On my wife's 2012 Vector up till this year I have been running 6 inch slim jims on the stock ski's with good results to when it comes to darting. When the...
The industry needed a sled like this! They have to do something to get new blood and interest in the sport again! It will be interesting to see what you can actually pick one of these up for price wise.
Again by what Cat has done by releasing the 2021 models this early with more to come mid November and the only way to get them is by Spring order only, you might see them back at the fall shows. Yamaha would probably do the same! This way than can showcase what their future is going to look like...
I think what is happening is that Cat and Yamaha are attempting to change the way Sleds are going to be marketed and sold in the future! I believe, after this 2021 release by Cat, that Textron is steering the boat and Yamaha is along for the ride. It seems to me that they are making deals as...
This is unbelievable! Not everybody can make it to Hay Days. I THINK ITS TIME FOR YAMAHA TO LET US KNOW IF THEY ARE GOING TO BE IN THE SLED BUISNESS OR NOT A YEAR FROM NOW!...….COME ON NOW!! Yamaha, we all have been loyal to you for a lot of years! The least you could do is show us a little...
I thought it did have the Nytro motor in it with the Cat ECU? Does it have the not as aggressive cam Vector motor in it instead? I was hoping that they would have had the 2020 Viper finally to where it should be!
I would like to know the real reason and goal Textron intensions were when they bought Cat! Like I said I believe it was Cat's factory's! What did Textron pay for it? $250 million plus assuming all their debt? If they can squeeze all they can out of the Cat company and can make enough to...
