First thing I thought of was possibly to much torque on bolts ,when installing the gasket.Travis mentioned HALF the factory recommended torque,or 80”lbs.when re installing bolts.Along with loctite.
Travis does mention that when installing his gasket ,the torque values are HALF of what the factory recommends 80-90 inch pounds on the tank bolts ,with loctite

I would contact the Consumer Product Safety Commission (Public Incident Reporting - SaferProducts). Submit an official complaint with all your documentation. Then, I would contact Arctic Cat directly (218) 681-9851; Customer Care | Arctic Cat) and let them know what happened...
1.771”shaft journal diameter/1.770”inner race bearing diameter.once I had a anti-rotation pin installed (welded)in my original shaft ,and slotted inner race I will not have to re -visit this again
the width of the slot was with in .001 to ..002 larger in width than the pin for easier assy. No longer needed the BOP shaft saver, he can sell you the slotted bearing that he uses with that repair.Around $40 and is upgraded from stock

Thanks for the update Travis, I installed mine over the summer and have not had any smoking issues during several starts .That hose was a challenge to install because of my model sled ,with additional brackets in the rear that had to be removed to shift the gas tank rearward. I also used the BOM...
