My 2012 Vector only has the PS fail once, at the start of a ride at roughly -30. It was a few years ago and I cannot remember the actual temperature, but it was damned cold. Like some others here, it is stored in a heated shop.
Really appreciate the quick and thorough reply Joe. I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned "riding like a diving board". Brian did call me back and he thinks the Assault shocks need a rebuid so I am in the process of pulling them now. I did have to add air regularly yesterday...
Hi Joe, it's been a while. I had the Vector and M20 out yesterday for the first time this year. Had problems all day....had to keep adding air or it would be dragging my back flap. I thought I had an air leak as I had the skid out to do all the wheel bearings this year, but after looking at...
I have been using heated glove liners for years due to finger reconstruction that inhibits circulation. Gears Canada has them and the beauty is they are 12v. I wired to the machine so no need for batteries. Just use regular gloves a size or two larger and you are good to go. On warmer days...
I got mine during a summer sale, I believe 2014 and the price was about $1900. I bought the front Assault air shocks at the same time. It's a nice combination.
My pleasure. I noticed something else on the weekend. In addition to the Vector I also have a Viper and last year took 2 trips with each of them and had very similar mileage for the year with the Viper getting just a few hundred km more. The Viper slides seem to wear more at the curve of the...
Not sure I have the answer but unless you are extremely light I doubt that 49 lbs will do it. I also find with my Vector that what seems great in the shop or when I start a ride can quickly prove you wrong as the skid picks up a bunch of snow and I have to add air. You might want to try...
That is what I did to get my skis above his because they were rubbing. I use curve skis and the trailer does give any spare room at all. I used a couple of 2" pcs of hardwood with one end cut on a 45 so that the ski can ride up the edge. His ski now goes under mine.
It is difficult to answer that with any accuracy as I only had the Mission on for a short time and both of them had the plastic on the shield for protection. I did not care for the mouth guard on the Mission either, but I do not want to knock it, lots will like it. Funny though, I have had CKX...
I also just purchased one at the Toronto show. I tried on the Mission but it did not feel right to me. I'm sure some will love it, but the Oxygen felt really good.
It might be best to just bite the bullet and get the M20. I added it to my 2012 Vector a few years ago and it really rides well. I also have a 2016 Viper and last year I rode the Vector almost as much.
I have a 2012 with about 21000 KM on it. Also bought a Viper and like them both. Cannot seem to part with the Vector and took it on 2 trips last year even though the Viper is 4 years newer.
