Hey, Maine is a great snowmobile state which often gets overlooked in the sled press. I've seen a significant increase in the number of Yamaha's in our area as well.
I had a Viper a few years ago that overheated some and Yamaha sold the rear heat exchangers for $50. I suspect with enough people feeling it's a problem they will offer a similiar deal. Check with your dealer and make sure you mention you're having a problem with it.
RSRager, Yes, stay away from those trees. Caribou, Maine has a great Yamaha dealer who certainly could advise you on the proper course of action with your ski lift. Go see Brother Raymond and he'll help.
RSRager, I think I know who your buddy with the Warrior is and he's probably going to be in Northern Maine this weekend ready to rock. The only "weight" that's going to be an issue is him "waiting" at the end of Long Lake. :moon:
I install studs for a local sled shop and I would definately recommend 144down the center only. If you're looking for safety and a bit more hook-up then this is the way to go. Only putting 96 studs in a sled with the horsepower and torque of the vector is going to add too much stress to the...
No, it's not a stupid question. I suppose Yamaha doesn't install them because people who ride just locally don't need them. I've also heard people say that they just don't trailer with a full tank and they're fine. But, for around $15, I'll cover myself.
I've had several Yamaha's over the past six years and I have always installed shut-off valve's due to the fact that I trailer three hours to get to the excellent conditions in northern Maine. They're inexpensive and I would recommend that anyone that trailers sleds put them in. The peace of...
I rode both a rage and a warrior this weekend. I own the warrior , but, was extremely impressed with the rage. Excellent handling and very quick. The three cylinder 4 stroke engine is impressive in the gas mileage department too. My buddy was getting in the 18 mpg range during break-in. ;)!
I had a chance to ride an rs rage as well as my '04 warrior this past weekend. Both are awesome. The rage seems more agile however, I still like the grunt of the warrior. :4STroke:
