onlybluesxv: Good for you or for your wife, I just tried mine Sunday in the backyard(have 400ft long) and I was also surprise by the bottom and mid-range power. I had the track adjusted like my SXR700 and it was not tied enough, the sprockets were slipping under. After a tighter adjustment it was awesome. Love it all the way. Very smooth and no smell, what can we ask for? We already get everything we need on this sled. Like I said on a previous post, I’m going in the North of Quebec for five days; it’s in Canada for the people in the US in case you wonder. It is a beautiful place and a lot of snow. I should be good for 1000 to 1200km(600 to 800 miles) on that trip; just enough to get the first service done and some adjustment if required. But so far everything seems ok. Can wait!!!!

This sled is just AWESOME! Gobs of torque, eats the bumps up, a real home run for Yamaha. They really solved many of the typical Yama-problems every one bitches about.
The engine is so smooth and quiet, you can actulally get into trouble... You have no audible clues that you are going fast... it's like an electric sled.
My buddy and I swapped between my new Vector and his Viper, and I got to say that I could never go back to the SX chassis. It's night and day!
I noticed a little bit of inside ski lift, but nothing you can't solve by modifying your high speed turning approach.
I lined up with a SD Adrenaline 600HO and we were dead nuts even all the way up to about 90.
No regrets with this purchase...

My brother has a Viper and we swithched off as well. The first thing I noticed between the two was the seating position. On the Viper it felt like my knees were up to my chest. I'm not that tall, but my knees were either parallel or a tad higher than my hips. This made it unbelievably fatiguing. I never noticed it before.
On the Vector my knees were lower than my hips, and thus much more comfortable. I'm getting the inside ski lift to, but in low, and high speed corners. I really have to be careful with the throttle. Still hoping to hear some precise adjustment proceedures to dial this out. Other than that, the sled simply rocks! I can't imagine driving a 2 stroker again.

RSRager, I heard the new rage rocks. Did you have a weight advantage on your warrior buddy. You never know he might get you on hard pack.

Rock,
Wieght was a BIG issue, but I believe it came down to skill and pure sex apeal of the rager, I'll see this weekend. The lakes are now safe to run! RS RAGE is out of the cage!

I agree Tfin, the Rage is nice! I just put 71 miles on my Rage this past weekend and it has some torgue. I was getting some inside ski lift as well, need to dial in the suspension like everyone else.
All in all, I absolutely love it. I bought two Polaris sleds this Fall and sold them both. I finally said "screw it" and bought myself a 4 stroker. I am so glad that I did too, no disappointments so far! I get bored with a sleds performance pretty quick but every time I hit the gas on the Rage, I grin. Now I see what all the hype is about I actually have one of my die hard Polaris buddies looking for a use RX1 after riding my sled.

RSRager, I think I know who your buddy with the Warrior is and he's probably going to be in Northern Maine this weekend ready to rock. The only "weight" that's going to be an issue is him "waiting" at the end of Long Lake.

Rock,
I'm glad you have full confidence in your friend. That's what freinds are for. I hate to burst your bubble but the Rage is the tourque of tourque. The only reason your buddy will be "waiting" at the end of long Lake is to wipe his eyes from crying.
