It was in another sled forum that’s pretty obscure. They were talking about a screen shot someone took from Facebook of Cat’s reply to the question of when their release was to take place. Cat‘s response was they didn‘t have it scheduled yet.
The latest rumor on the interwebs is that Textron is finalizing the deal to sell Cat to Argo. A bunch of former Cat people ended up there after Textron did a management reshuffle.
I agree with what your saying but the prices of sleds is going to do more to drive people out of the sport than anything. I think Venoms are way overpriced for a 400cc single. Polaris now wants $13,000 for an Indy 600 SP which is their “budget” performance sled. Even a fan cooled Indy short...
Yeah but this is a new and improved sticker. Bolder and stickier than the ‘22 model year stickers. I know I’m going to upgrade to get the new stickers. I can’t understand why people are so opposed to progress and innovation when it comes to vinyl adhesive products.
Keep it on the down low but...
This is an interesting article. Makes more sense why Yamaha has divested itself from snowmobile production.

You’ve got to be kidding if you think Cat has kept up with the competition. They don’t have an 850, they are running the same chassis since MY12, their skid hasn’t changed in 10 years, their C-Tec 600 is less reliable than the Suzuki make motor it replaced. They’ve dropped all of the 4-strokes...
I think you ought to spend more time studying what both Doo and Poo have released since the Procross chassis was unveiled for snowcheck in the spring of 2011. In short you are delusional if you believe that Cat has kept up with its competitors when it comes to making sleds lighter, better...
Gee great, thanks for moving my thread to this dead sub forum. And you wonder why this site is dying. I don’t know why I even bother posting anything, much less visiting.
The
The ONLY way to get Yamaha to change the current situation is to quit buying their sleds. We are in what, 10 years into this production agreement with Cat and it just keeps getting worse. Yamaha is now content with simply selling blue Arctic Cats. They don’t even have ANY Yamaha parts on...
Maybe the ’23 Yamaha sleds will be at Cabelas/Bass Pro and be sold next to the Cat four wheelers in the store?
Yamaha has nothing new for ‘23. Neither they or Cat have even dropped a hint of anything new. Textron/Cat is now just a soulless manufacturer of catalog sleds for whatever company...
Having to post questions in the general forum isn’t a good sign. It’s sad to see how many people have dropped away from both Yamaha sleds and forums in general. Facebook is no replacement for a good forum but unfortunately that’s the way things have been going for years. There is so much less...
You’d likely be better off waiting until next year when they undoubtedly offer the 900 in an XCR. The turbo 850 sounds like it is quite laggy to make it survive at low elevations.
I’m excited about their 4 stroke program but I don’t understand why the S4 models are so fricking heavy? Dry weight...
Earthling, thanks for the link to the video!
I suspect it would compare quite favorably to my old ‘05 Vector power wise. Traditionally Polaris sleds have always been down on power but made up for it with more efficient clutching. As I recall my old Vector was 120 hp? That sled was likely...
Did you find that on the website or is it random forum talk? I was looking at their side by sides and HP is 90-100 in RZR’s and as low as 61 in the Ranger. I had a 900 RZR S and with 75 HP it did really well and felt impressive. But sleds seem to lose a lot of power between the engine and...
They finally came out with a 1000cc 4-stroke twin out of their side x side. I can’t find any HP numbers on in yet.

They are barely in it. Mostly selling rebadged Arctic Cats is hardly innovative. Now Textron/Cat is being treated like the Chinese/Tiawanese manufacturer of cheap youth quads and dirt bikes. Ski-Doo is sourcing their 120/200 from Textron.
