Thanks for the reply...would you kindly explain the jumping procedure...l'm not overly mechanical. Is there any danger of damaging any electrical components by jumping the relay or switch?
I have a 2010 RS Venture TF with intermittent starting issues. On occasion, l turn the key as usual to let the fuel pump cycle up and it does so as expected but then when l turn the key to start, l just get a click. This was happening last season and l could get it to start by lifting the...
Sorry if this is a stupid question here: Is the starter relay/solenoid one and the same or separate parts? I'm having similar issues with my TF not starting occasionally; I've been lucky so far with not getting stranded as I can bounce the sled on the front a bit and it will start up. When...
You'll like the new sled for trail riding - I have the TF. I do miss the higher seating position on the TF though, and the TF is still noisy at some speeds; especially below 60kmph.
What's this Barn of Parts Mechanical Power Steering you mentioned? Thanks.
If it has the original 5" skis they are inadequate in snow, on any kind of soft trails, etc. for this heavy machine.. I switched mine out for the 7" Powder Hounds and shimmed the rear of the rubber and it's a different machine now in most conditions.
I have a code 85 showing on my Venture Lite. It came on first and then went away after being parked o'nite but now it seems to be back to stay. I checked the usual culprit with it being unplugged and that is okay, and the wiring that I can see seems okay so I'm suspecting that the switch...
The other thing I would think about there is the possibility of striking that pipe extension.. especially if off trail. All the best. Ps. My mod still works like a charm,
That's too bad, the same thing happened to mine but it was my fault I didn't replace the silly clip. So the best thing is if you can get one from an older style Yammie - they are much better with more adjustability and no C-clip. And all the info you need is in the two links that Mooseman gave.
I've switched my stock primary PPP spring to YPY to help reduce engine braking and give it smoother engagement - which it does. Although there is not a whole lot of difference in the engagement RPM's as it seemed to have had fairly low engagement anyways but it is smoother now especially on the...
I've had 7" Slydogs on my VL with Studboy Shaper bars and shimmed rubbers and find them work well with no noticeable darting. Also have 8" PH's on my TF with Triple points and no issues. Is your steering sloppy by any chance? As that will cause darting as well.
