How deep are the keels on your Simmons? Is it possible to remove some mat'l from the keels to make them less aggressive? I thought about doing it with my 8" Slydogs because they are unpredictable in crusty conditions but they are easy to steer so I didn't want to mess with a pretty good set-up.

With only 3 miles it is doubtful that any updates have been done on the '07 so you might want to check that with a dealer. Will you get to try it out...
Okay, I didn't think so but it was stated earlier here that you could. So would it be a problem to crank it with the plugs out (and the switch on of course) to help rid the water?
I didn't realize you could crank an engine with the kill switch off.
What about the chain case oil - does that need to be drained?
And check the air box for water and dry the filter foam if necessary?
Something else occurred to me that it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep an old oil filter for...
Yamaha sells those as an accessory for some of their sleds - not sure about yours. Or places like Royal Dist also carry them. Just make sure to get the right ones for your stock skis if that is the way you want to go.
