If my math is correct doing the km to mi conversion that's pretty much in the ballpark.....my RS Nytro is geared slightly lower and my idiot light will generally come on around 110 mi. (or roughly 178 km).......
As to the 2 up riding, I'm a big guy and go 3 bills suited up so we'd be somewhat close........plus I'm "pulling a 1.6" lug 136" track

went for a ride sunday
at the 100 mile mark my guage was on 1/2
but
at the 135 mile mark, i was bouncing between bar 2 and 3
with 3 bars left i can put in 5 canadian gallons(6 us)
so it seems 1 gal/bar
but here is how i measured
6 liters above 8 bars
4 liters bar 7 is on
3 liters bar 6
5 liters bar 5
4 liters bar 4
3 liters bar 3
4 liters bar 2
3 liters last bar and light comes on
6 liters till empty
these are approximate numbers but close
having said that
1 time...i was on the last bar, drove 10 miles home
and then syphoned 5.5 liters out of the tank

Great
it's the first time I have checked on how many kilometers i do per tank. Now I know I'm in the ball park.
Snow contition will affect this a lot and temp also.
Have a great season and enjoy!

At around 150 miles on the tank I am looking for gas. 175 was the most miles I've done on one tank but boy I was sweating it out.

I run a 2010 Vector and get about 6.5km per litre, that works out to about 234km per tank if you run it till its last drop.
(This is an average taken after a number of decent rides where I write down mileage ridden and litres to refill)
In harder snow conditions you can get easily 7km per litre extending the range.
Of course that is running it at reasonable speeds. Soon as you run that machine wide open for long periods the fuel is just being poured in the engine and the above math gets thrown out the window.
So when I am out riding and the trip meter runs past 200km, I am seriously thinking about heading for some gas.

So on your trip that you did 202 Km how much gas did you put in when you filled up - then you can figure out your mpg.Glenn said:It's a Venture GT

I have a 2010 TF with the 1049cc FI engine that I bought new late last Spring but only started to use this year. I now have 1585Km in total and my fuel mileage has steadily increased from a low of 16.7 during break-in to 21.3mpg (Imp gallon) this weekend fully loaded with extra gas/gear and riding two-up and included a couple of fast runs (130 - 143Km/h across a pond). So I'm quite pleased that it has improved a lot since break-in.
