I appreciate the feedback. Ive never owned anything but a yamaha and love the 1049 motor and the handling of the Cats. Being a year out of college ive never spent this much money on anything in my life! I was hoping I was just overreacting.
Looking at upgrading from my 136 Nytro to a USED 137 Viper. I bought a yamaha 4-stroke for the longevity and durability so I'm nervous about the Vipers. Or are the problems not as common as i think? Thanks
I wish I was joking. Both lower a arm ball joints wore out which caused the arms to ride on the spindles and ruin them..The bearing behind the secondary went out and snapped the jackshaft in half. The secondary vibrated and fell off which broke my belt.. I have had better days
I have an 08 with a MBRP. sounds great but it blew a small hole out the end of it. I welded most of it shut and still use it. Ill sell it to you cheap in the summer.

I have noticed it was idling quite low. Ill start with that but my sled does have 10,000 mi on it and ive never cleaned that screen. Thanks for the help
I had Engine Code 30 (drop in oil pressure), pop up twice in the last 250 miles. I came to a stop both times and it killed the engine. I turned off the key and turned it back on and everything was back to normal with no code. I checked the oil level and its perfect. Anyone else run into this?
Thanks for the help. I currently dont have the sled with me but last time i looked it over when it was elevated on the trailer and there wasnt anything blatantly obvious.
The guides on my track were gouged out by my torsion spring last winter. I spent the last 2 years on the stiffest setting and didnt have a problem until March when i decided to change the settings. Then this happened. Im looking at getting a new track but i dont want to drop 500 bucks and...
I hope they keep the motor for their next chasis because its a great sled for what it is. cheap, reliable and entry level. people dog on the hp all the time but thats not why you buy it
