On the early rides, I am trying to isolate issues I've not had on other sleds. There is a rattle coming from speedo area, could the speedo bearings need greasing? Track also seems quite noisy, but mechanic just tightened the track, maybe too much? (also installed 108 studs w/ double backers...)...
Ok, thanks for the feedback. I'm still not sure about a full clutch kit, but may do the Helix change and/or 911 Response kit...Any posts related to this issue before?
Went out again today to try out tne new ride, after getting 30 miles last week. Think I got susp. dialed in too (thanks Catman)! Really impressed so far with most all, except clutching. Seems flat and doesn't backshift like my ol Viper or 07 Attak. I've had good luck with some 911 Respnse kit...
Checking into slides recently, saw the new Y slides are $110 for the pair!
Would after market graphites work as well? Where do slides on 136 usually wear first?
This sled I purchased has 2 slighty larger slider wheels on both sides of front paired idlers...
Think this will act like low snow...
I've had good luck with the small wheels at the bend up front on my 121 Y sleds. Now going to ride the 136 again, and got talked into keeping 2 slightly larger wheels up front.
Any need to add more wheels up back? Sled has new Hyfax, but I don't believe its the new Dupont type. I mostly trail...
I can feel a little a little slop in the handlebars of my 10 Vector LTX. What bushings should be used to help clean this up. There are several kits that can be purchased, but $ won't allow me to do them all... Most crucial ones to change?
Thanks all for the help!
Thanks, gonna do the set of wheels up front, 4th wheel kit, go with new slides when present ones wear out. Maybe front end bushings if have the bucks...
Just got a 10 Vec LTX and trying to get some basics done. Had some sleds In past with low snow wheels to help Hyfax wear. Will those help on the LTX too? Going to stud so will add Hyfax to on tunnel protectors and just got shims for skiis too.
Appreciate help and suggestions!
How are the handwarmers on these sleds? The 07 Attak I owned got the Yamaheaters and it needed them...I got some from Rock last Spring for the XTX I just sold, Am I going to need them?
Just trying to find out what wheels to use (oversized) to replace the other off size/brand wheels. These are the front two outside idlers...
Sorry off topic and thanks for cooler protector answer.
Tom,
Thanks for the clarification. Was unsure on placement...
Can u give me an idea on replacing the front idlers on the susp. ? The sled I purchased has two slightly larger Ski-doo wheels up front, with the newer replaceable bearing wheels next to them. The S-D wheels gotta go, looks like...
Just sold my XTX to go back to Vec LTX, sold my 07 Attak GT that was great, but wanted the triple Efi in a lighter package. XTX was nice and fun , but prefer the sit down, warmer Deltabox II layout. Totally different rides...Like the cruiser I got again!
