Checking into slides recently, saw the new Y slides are $110 for the pair!
Would after market graphites work as well? Where do slides on 136 usually wear first?
This sled I purchased has 2 slighty larger slider wheels on both sides of front paired idlers...
Think this will act like low snow wheels. Help and experience appreciated !

I have a 136 an put in the DuPont slides an rode all winter an no wear they are worth every penny as far as I'm concerned
I added wheels where the hyfax wears. This works well and reduces rolling resistance. I have no experience with the yamy hyfax but @ $110 a set they better work. Aftermarket graphite ones are about $60-$80

Ok, thanks for input. Still wondering about the 2 oversized

after 2k miles, and one horrible last ride in mud, I had to replace mine. The only part that was really worn on my LTX was at the front bend. I bought the extra wheels, dont remember where, and they seem to work well. I really need more miles on them to really see the return on investment though.

The hyfax on the 136" Mono wears at the bend and about 8 - 10" forward of the rear wheels. If you can pull in snow while you are riding and run your track with approx. 1 3/4" of free sag, you should be able to get 1,800 - 2,000 miles on a set of the cheap standard hyfax.
A cost effective option to oversized wheels is Pioneers wheel extended kit.

- 2007 Attak - LOVE my sled!!!
A friend put the new Dupont slides on & was amazed at how much he had to use his brake now due to less rolling resistance.
Haven't changed mine yet until the current ones are wore out.
Know one thing, if it makes it so I change them less, I'm all for it!
(I hear they last 5 times as long)
Also did the marginal snow wheel kit, made a huge difference.
