    2021 Release?

How on earth do these guys feel good at night about putting names on these Arctic Cat sleds that come from work done by Yamaha engineers in the 90s? Where is the innovation here? There’s 79 different trail Sidewinders and badge engineering. Icky!

    2021 Release?

There is a lot of badge engineering in this lineup. Yikes.

i was just having a facepalm moment wondering the same.

    2021 Release?

Well, if Rotax just demoed a hydrogen fuel cell powered sled, it stands to reason that Yamaha has made some type of evaluation of alternative power sources. My money is still on the big change for 21 being a Blast with tuning fork logos, Yamaha clutches, maybe a Yamaha ECU, and 20% higher...

    2021 Release?

$13,000 Blasts is my guess what it will be. 15 if it has a 4s motor.

    2021 Release?

It won't just be a rebadged Blast. It will be a Blast that costs $3,000 more than a Blast, with a Yamaha clutch and a different ECU tune. It will "blast" a hole in your wallet. It will "blast" a hole in your finances for the next 79 years. I shouldn't be so cynical.

    2021 Release?

The Ovation is way less gross than the Inviter. Like, orders of magnitude. They're actually solid sleds, it's just that carb that is annoying. And the irreplaceable track.

    2021 Release?

Wow, nice Ovations man. And a Saskie too eh? Right on.

    2021 Release?

I've spent a fair bit of time in recent years rehabbing old ETs and Bravos and bringing them back into circulation. Why? Well, first, they're awesome, and second, they are still relevant. The market doesn't have an inexpensive mid-sized sled right now. And it won't any time soon. I can rehab...

    2021 Release?

I want to believe that it's not going to be a badge engineered Blast for 20% more $. I hope it's not going to be a badge engineered Cat product for 20% more $.

    2021 Release?

Yamaha might not have a leg up on the competition on 4-stroke forever.

    2021 Release?

He has a point. The Yamaha employees that I've talked to usually basically chant the 4 stroke mantra and drank the kool aid. Honestly I wonder if Yamaha lost its way a little by the all 4-stroke shift in the products and dropping out mid sized stuff. A lot of buyers seem to have become alienated...

    2021 Release?

I would expect that Yamaha will tip their current hand in MY 2021 or 2022.

    Cold start information

Oh yeah definitely give them a shot. They're like 20 bucks each. Came out in November 2019. I think there is a new ECU flash available as well that you might not have.

Ski Doo is dropping a bomb on snowmobile industry

I don't know why I care so little about this innovation. Besides the sled costing about 80 grand, we've seen nothing on its reliability or performance. Will it be a rebuild queen that needs a top end every 10 minutes? Time will tell.

    BTX?

BTX 153s. I have been looking at these recently. Not a whole lot of info on them, they don't seem very common. Does anyone have any insight to share? My riding is mostly in what would be considered off trail. Lake, meadow, short bush trails. The stance and length are appealing, and I imagine I...

Ski Doo is dropping a bomb on snowmobile industry

Doo is great at the hype. Polaris isn't far behind. Their marketing game is phenomenal. It somehow doesn't matter that they need rebuilds every 10 minutes and things fail outside of warranty. They've got the big dick machine fantasy perfected .

Have you guys heard this news about Arctic Cat?

Same with the Bravo. They are still everywhere out in the bush. Just my 2 cents, there is so much focus on mountain and off trail/crossover riding that there is almost a bit of tunnel vision on those segments. A light, reliable machine is highly desirable around where I'm from. Bravos still...
