I'll try and pay attention this weekend while I'm riding.... if I can stop grinning from just being out on the snow for long enough to remember to do it ;)
I was just looking for that, but I believe someone weighed it on a scale, and posted on here something like 540-550, but could be mistaken. If anyone has weighed it, or has the shipping manifest, it would be on there.
That aside, driving the sidewinder does not "feel" heavy. I will say that my...
The weight-thing is over-blown, and in some cases mis-reported. My Dad's 2022 Renegade Enduro 900 ACE is 530 lbs.... So it's not like all these others are feather-weights :).
Even the 2-strokes aren't that light anymore. My brother-in-law's 2017 ZR6000 is 475 lbs. - which actually surprised me...
I don't have another "sidewinder" exactly to compare it with, but compared to my brother-in-laws 2017 ZR6000 (sort of a sidewinder, I suppose), there is no extra play that I can detect. But I can't say that I've intentionally tried to find out, just nothing that has jumped out at me.
Thanks for bringing this thread to the top. One of the reasons I don't like my RS Venture is because of the drone. I had thought that the Vipers were much quiter, but this thread has me concerned about getting a '23 Viper. I was considering the Viper if it comes with EPS for '23, otherwise will...
Did anyone receive a '22 SR Viper?
Asking because my '22 Sidewinder L-TX GT EPS order was cancelled, so figuring out if I should just get the '23 version of that, or go for the '23 SR Viper (if it gets EPS :)). But if no one got any Vipers this year, I might be hesitant to order it, risking...
Do you know what carbides he's using?
I'm on the stryke skis with mission offsets, and while a lot better than stock carbides, it does still dart a bit, so looking for the best alternative setup.
I've got the ST-X GT. Love it. PS much better than on my 2021 RS Venture TF. Stronger at little to no speed, but more or less dissappears at trail speeds, except when there is a sudden whack to skis - it absorbs the shock of that.
I've got about 4000km, no issues except 2nd time I started the...
The top of the auxiliary tank is fully accessible by taking of the cover and the inside tray, so I'm sure you could do that pretty easily. I'll take a picture on the weekend.
It's still working, i.e., the gas eventually drains from the auxiliary tank, it's just working differently than I...
Funny, I've noticed the same thing. When my '22 ST-X was new, gauge wouldn't move for a long time, but recently I've experienced what you describe. I was going to note it to my dealer when I take it in next time, but now curious if this is a more common problem, or if this is the way it's...
+1 to this. Got them for my whole family after 1) blew a fuse in the same way as above, and 2) someone ripped their helmet shield jack right off the helmet :).
The magnetic ones are awesome... will never go back!
I'm interested also in anyone's experience with this combo, but for the noise factor. Wondering if this, or the Hurricane noise reduction ring, is the better way to go for a straight trail rider.
I've noticed after about 2000km, the clutch is just as rattly as everyone on here says :).
I think we've been very lucky in our area. Even the yellow trails are in really good shape. I did a day trip last week through Algonquin Park up to Whitney, and it was a spectacular ride the whole way from Fenelon, with some very short and minor exceptions.
I'm looking at the forecast for...
