There are no special tools needed. I used a lady slipper to get the assembly out. I am going to see if I can change the bearing in my old one, not sure if you can on mine. It is a 2009.
I was removing my clutch to disassemble and clean and found my PTO outer bearing wiped out. I have a little north of 27,000 miles on my sled so I'm not complaining, just letting everyone know to check this bearing periodically. It comes as an assembly, part number 8GL-11406-00-00 ($460.99 list)...

I did replace clutch sheaves at about 13,000 miles, 1 track at 12,000 miles and it is about due again. Other than that just bearings ( drive axle and jackshaft) wheels and bearings as necessary. New oilite bushings in front end, oil and filter changes. I due put new plugs in each year even...
The tunnel I washed with a self etching acid I use on pontoon tubes with a clear coat over it. It wears a bit where my boots rub on the tunnel so all I have to do it re acid and clear it, takes about an hour start to finish. So far the hydrograhpics are holding up pretty well. I have about 3,000...
