I once had my intercooler pop off. Now I put (right stuff) gasket maker on all my intake joints and no problems since. Works really well just don’t do it if you will be taking it off lots.
Check all the black grounding blocks in the wiring harness there is 3 or 4 of them. Also on mine the plug to the solenoid above oil tank had a bit of corrosion and caused the same type of issues.
If it were me I would run the impulse tank for now. Maybe put another fuel pickup in the back and run a external 255 pump and reconfigure next summer when there is not snow on the ground.
Man I totally understand what you mean with the header bolts. Until I put the locking header bolts on mine I had to retighten header bolts a few times and they are a bitch to get at and actually get tight. The build is coming along. It will be a arm stretcher.
Well I went out for a ride last night and they are hot and no more popping fuses. Thanks kinger and robx-1 for the help. I wired them up to 10 ohm and with the Yamaheater they get real warm.
Easiest and lightest swap is the pro rmk 155 skid in the nytro 162 track. Very good skid you might need a coupler though with the turbo. The skid was pretty much a bolt in. there is a thread on ty4 somewhere about doing it.
you guys are awesome. I have been wondering how the Yamaheater worked for a long time. And over the 10 years I have been riding Yamaha no one has explained it well. They just said it works good. Which it does. Now I have total faith that when I wire it up. It will work and not pop a fuse. Now...
I will try this out. Do you think it will be to much with the Yamaheater? I’m not sure what the Yamaheater actually does and how it raises the temp. I think I will try to get it to work on stock settings first and then I could try it I guess. I could not fathom trying to figure out the motec...
Ok I checked every possible connection and I get 3.4 5.1 and 10.1. I even checked a spare grip element and it was 2.2 3.9 and 9.1. Do you mean raise the ohms to the 5 or the 10 settings ? Also when you say wire them in series. Do you mean hook the high low blue wires together? Because that is...
Thanks kinger I had not thought about fuel starvation issues. Since I have fuel pickups in the front and rear of tank. But I will check into it. Maybe a pickup is not working or in wrong spot now. As for the handgrips. I just checked them and the ohms are low they are at 3.4 on the yamalaris. I...
Took it for a good rip today and found some fresh snow. Man this sled is fun. I can’t get over how easy it is to maneuver. Few issues today to look into. First my handwarmers are acting weird sometimes a code 81 sometimes not. Popping a fuse ect. I am going to have to dig deep into this one as...
Something I would consider is some kind of a diverter valve in case you damage the frame or weld fails. If you could divert the coolant you would not have to be towed home. Just a thought. Carry on its looking good.
Yes I did in my yamalaris I used
BPS LIGHTING LED Headlight Bulbs B2 Series, 100W 12000 Lumens Super Bright Conversion Kit 6500K Cool White IP68 Waterproof, Pack of 2 (H4)
And so far they are working good. In my turbo nytro I have been running rocks kit for many years with great results.
Also might be your idle speed sensor. But you will need the service manual to check it and all the other sensors. Basically I wouldn’t work on a sled unless I had the specific service manual. I don’t have a viper manual just a nytro one
Well kinger you have had 10 years of dreaming about this. Let’s see what comes of it. Man this twin charging sounds so complicated but will be so cool once it’s worked out.
