Sorry I did not weigh Polaris motor but the nytro motor weighs 115 lbs I read somewhere the Polaris 800 motor was 95 lbs but I can’t confirm that. Do you have a crashed sidewinder that you are going to use for the donor? If not I would consider buying a turbo nytro and use it as a donor...
I asked a few years ago if anyone has put a nytro motor in a axys chassis and not much interest. I think it would fit and be amazing. The sidewinder motor I believe is the same size as the nytro just built tougher for boost so should weigh about the same. I currently am putting a nytro motor in...
Well with the new mountain max /cat out. I bet you will really want to finish this sled. I’m guessing life got in the way with kids and such and this beauty is getting dusty in the corner. How’s it coming along?
The xic controllers work really well. I would check the base map that is in the system. Most times unless someone has played around with the map the box is not the problem. It is usually a boost leak or another problem. I will try to round up the map that is in mine for you to compare. What is...
I like the removable snow flap idea. I wonder how the dzus fasteners will hold up ? You may want to have a 3” piece of tail flap to put on when you take it off so the holes do not get iced up. Good job so far.
I say giver a try. I have rocks heater and it works well. But the cost to get it to Canada is enough. I am going to try making my own coolant heated handlebars like cr racing is doing. If it doesn’t work well I will hook up the yamaheater again. No loss in trying.
Let us know how it works out. I have been eyeballing one of those catch cans for awhile. Mine is a nytro but same idea. Currently I have a alpine catch can on mine
Unless you are looking to have a piece of history. Might be easier to just go to a aftermarket a arm then you don’t have to change out the bulkhead. My favorite a arm is the cr racing a arm they are insanely tough and 3” forward. But you could also go to a mountain tech set as well. Heard they...
I must say I wasn’t to sure on the look of your tank design. But then I seen the new seat tank combo from skinz and it looks real similar. I think it will work out well. here is a pic
You are on a good roll. I love the design everything is thought out well no extras or unneeded tubes. On your rear brackets are you going to tie them into the rear tunnel extension like the green line in this picture.
You need to check for boost leaks. And then check your a/f sensor and verify it’s working proper. Use the search function on this forum to show you how
Lots of people clutch them to 9000 rpm for the trail that way when they get in the powder under load it is still in the proper rpm range 8600-9000 rev limiter is at 9300 so you are fine.
