I am completely rebuilding my 08' RTX skid, replacing all the drive line bearings and doing a track swap. There are a few skid Zerk fittings that would no longer accept grease. So I cut them all off and tapped them with M6 x 1.0 threads. Since I cut the Zerks right up behind the Zerk ball, I...
RobX-1 those bushings should work in the Nytro link arms! The OD of the steel Nytro spacer that fits into the bushings in the link arms, measure 16.05 mm. Thanks again for posting the dimension. I have one hole that is a little egg shape that I may try and wrap some thin aluminum or brass...
Yeah, I will reach out to Travis to see if the ones he still lists on his site for an Apex with a Single Shot skid, would work on an 08' Nytro? His listing says his links are made of stainless steel. Thanks guys for the info! I will let you know what Travis says.
Thank you some much for your time to provide these dimensions! I am out of town on business today but will be home tomorrow to check these dimensions. Thx
So there was either a steel, brass, or bi-metal bushing crimped into the holes of the aluminum links. Then there were steel spacers that were used with the bolts. I ordered what I thought were the bushings I am looking for that were in the aluminum links but they are steel spacers...
So I am rebuilding my 08' RTX for the 2nd time since I have owned the sled. It has approx. 13,000 miles on it now. I found that there are super thin, brass possibly, bushings in the aluminum transfer link arms. Three of the (4) bushings crumbled when I removed the bolts from the skid. I...
Definitely not theft-proof, but I also used the rubber mounts to attach a shovel on my Nytro. These are Inexpensive mounts and I used (1) M6 bolt thru the tunnel to secure them. I will say that I paid $8 for this shovel at TJ Maxx so it wouldn't kill me if someone swipes it, lol But so far...
Who is working on summer mods and PM on their Nytro? Has anyone powder coated their skid rails? If yes, pros and cons?
I am rebuilding my skid and doing a track swap on my stretched 08'.
-Skid shocks to be refreshed
-New powder coat on arms, brackets, etc
-New skid arm bushings
-Polish or...
Your filters look cool! Are you running a Mo-Flow console vent on your dash? It is a great goggle and helmet warmer along with improving flow for the radiator. G.B.
Cannondale is a moderator here on TY does shock work off season. Great guy and does awesome work on the shocks I have sent him, I am almost positive he works on Ohlins too.
Typically, most Yamaha sleds you can raise your bars 2" without extending the cables and hoses. In some cases you may have to reroute some things to make it work.
