Agreed. I plan to stay with the lower powered 10-20 hp tunes and carry a generous supply of Boostane and/or my own "home brewed" gasoline so I'm less at the mercy of whatever is available at the trail side stops.

I'd like to see it in a 2.52 drive pitch, that way I wouldn't have to swap out my drivers. Being it is a new track, hopefully they will expand the offerings as time goes by.

Of that I have no doubt. I've already begun my research on the sled and the mods that seem to be working well. But, it will be used as a high performance trail sled and nothing more. A tune and clutch work will be first on the hit list.

Is that a first gen Apex skid? Man I kinda gave up on getting mine to my liking. Even with the hygear setup I wasn't happy. I finally settled on the 6.1 spring set for max ride height. Still thinking about a King Air for next year.

I used to flip the air cleaner lid on my 400ci Pontiac powered Trans Am. It was good for a solid 15hp gain! Just ask me!

I had the Fix ramair lid on mine. I saw minor gains and substantially more noise. Like the others said, you're going to have to add several more if additional performance is the goal.

Is this a full race sled or trail sled? 1st gen or 2nd gen Apex engine. If it's a trail sled, there's no reason IMO to go to the trouble and EXPENSE that you would be getting into. With a turbo, and depending on how much boost you're running, the engine is already being pushed beyond its design...

If you check/replace the plugs, check for the dreaded white powder corrosion crap that sometimes gets in the caps. Had that happen to mine.

I don't think so. I hope I'm wrong but, their only showing 137 for the turbo model. 129 or 137 for the rest of the MXZ lineup. Do the build, only 137 showing for that one.

Just realized its a 137 track only. Well that kills it for me. I still want a 128/129.

Yup, didn't pull the trigger last year. I've been waiting for Doo to build another yellow & black hotrod that I actually like. Also has the push button non battery start. This just might be the machine.
