    hight idle

Mine has done this since brand new. Rpm does lower after a while, I thought it was normal. Might check mine out as well.

    U1212 U0155 Sidewinder

It's likely the console that needs to be replaced, I suggest you ask them to try that, maybe borrow from another sled just to see if that's the fault. They just closed down Nybyen and the track that goes up there, due to high risk of avalanche.

    U1212 U0155 Sidewinder

Does the steering start/reverse button work? It is a known issue on newer models that the hand consoles fail. I've had mine swapped, don't remember codes, but the heaters were on max and start/reverse didn't work. Can confirm, we're getting a lot of snow, I'm at work in Longyearbyen these days...

2016 viper turbo overheating when in boost

Maybe head gasket? Not sure if you can see that on a pressure test. Or maybe thermostat.

2016 viper turbo overheating when in boost

You need over half a tank og fuel for steep climbs or it starts to stutter and shoot, and maybe overfill oil tank or you could run into issues. If you're in deep powder then normally it shouldn't overheat even without extra tunnel cooler. Worth a thought..

    Sidewinder in the mountains

2 Poos both got stuck twice today, but I didn't. So much more fun on a tuned Winder. We found balls deep powder already, looks like we're getting payback for the lack of snow last season.

    Sidewinder in the mountains

I've ridden with him at Riksgränsen both with the Sidewinder and the Mountain Max. But handling a tuned MTX in deep powder is easier than you think, you just need the right technique. I'm not gonna go 2-stroke because I can handle an MTX. But nobody handles one better than he does!

Winder cool down - is running the motor at idle necassary

270hp here. What I've always done is ride slow/easy the last minute. This cools it to operating temp, and when I stop, I let it idle until the rpm climbs down, wait 5-8 sec then shut down. I know the temp rises a lot after parking, so I'm interested in keeping that turbo up to shape. Since I'm...

With the recent heavy snowfall of 40cm I had to slap these decals on and take it for a first ride of the season! More pictures to come.

    Earth X battery

I've used an Antigravity battery on my old SR Viper, always worked, down to -30°C. Voltage wouldn't drop over summer storage, fired right up. Until I got the updated flash then got issues starting it lol. I've now installed one on my Sidewinder, it would have some issues starting at -30°C. But...

    Sidewinder mountain track poll

I've gone for the Challenger Extreme 64mm, installed it at end of last season, barely tested it with new Elevate kit. Too soon to tell, but it sure gets better grip on hardpack!

    Blow by

Some (like myself) bypass the intake and dump it on the ground where it once came from. Some will fit a catch can. When I did my bypass there was a big pit of oil in the intake ahead of the turbo. Took it all apart and cleaned all the hoses, never putting that PCV hose back there. The bypass...

    Catalyst 998t rumours

Would love to see something like the Koenigsegg Freevalve engine put in a sled, brilliant concept.

Anyone familiar with a revving sound, that isn’t the engine??

My '23 ROV only made a popping/puffing sound at idle, just releasing pressure I guess. I could clearly hear it if I put my ear to the intake. But revving sound? Is it consistent, what rpm, is it at idle, does it sound like a water pump speeding up? The pump in my car was actually the vacuum...
