Comes and goes, kills my display too. It started happening after I tipped the sled last week. Haven't found any shorts. Checked every connector except the ones below/behind engine that are hard to reach. I don't have heated shield acc. I suspect oil got into the engine connectors... Ideas?
Mine would have rpm drops when blipping the throttle, seemed as if the sled would die but it never did. The reflash made the idle much more stabile. Startups are slower but it always starts.
Had to change both spindles (bent) , one top a-arm (bent), switched both rails to Ice Age (both broke on the top rib in the front somehow). Changed the skis to have more control in deep powder. I've also upgraded other stock parts for fun. Oh and the stock snowflap got eaten at one point so new...
I think you're having the same problem as I once had. Check this out.

Oh you'll see the Viper handles better off trail, but it's also the best option on trail because of comfort/steering. And it's not like you'll break something from snow bumps.
The Nytro isn't that much heavier, it just feels alot heavier to handle it. A Viper is an entirely remodeled Nytro made...
My sled has always done this, every flash. It happens only when I've been riding hard or the coolant temp is high when I shut down. I believe the solution is to ride easy the last few minutes before you shut it off, making sure that coolant temp is actually getting lower. That way I've never...
I own a Viper MTX 16'. I think Vipers are way easier to ride. The difference lies in the suspension and the AC chassis. Nytros are stronger but heavier. The Vipers AC parts are soft but much lighter. I've bent my spindles and an a-arm and broken the rails, just from sliding over drift wood. In...
If your sled works fine now, I won't recommend reflashing it. Your warranty will most likely run out before you run into problems anyway. As you can see the odds aren't that good for improving the sled or not, so just stick to the one you have now.
I'm tired of the headlight constantly getting covered in snow. I'll have to stop and lean over/walk around to clean it off. The stock light is terrible, so I'll fit an LED bar instead. I want to shave weight off it, and another good thing is the enhanced cooling.
I have it on my Viper. Mine is ridiculously tall but I don't mind, never been a problem. It's not necessary, but you could argue it theoretically adds a few HP and reliability to both engine and turbo. You probably won't feel the added HP, but you'll love that loud spooling-up sound. In my...
Finally got the time to have mine updated. Thought I could share my experience.
2016 MTX 162" with mcx 270 turbokit.
Pre-update it would start after 1 sec, and immediately idle at 1600RPM. At cold start it would run at 1800 till the temp was good. I rarely had to turn the key twice to get it...
