If the track is racheting loosen the axel bolt at the rear idlers. Then look in the track windows. There is a 14mm. Nut on each side. Turn them cw to tighten. Make sure the track is running square and tighten the axel back up. As for the service manual if you become a VIP the moderators can hook...
Got to the Apex section on the top the FAq. there is a write-up about track removal. I know it is a venture but it is really close to the Apex. If you get stuck just ask.
I believe Yamaha (Japan) built sleds have the worst paint. I have three,and I maintain a 2012 Apex for a friend they are all rusty. My 07 I had Brian powder coat it when it was two years old, and powder coating is still like the day he did it.
They are garage kept and transported in an enclosed...
It is your sled. Just like turning them backwards. May not be an issue for some but it has happened.
I am not willing to take that chance. Do you feel lucky.
You stated in your first post that you could only get the engine to turn over in one direction. You should never turn a four stroke engine over backwards. The starter will be the least of the problems at that point. Like maim posted the magnets most likely came loose from the housing.
You will see wear in the hyfax in that area.
Cut the wheel off but leave the inside bearing race so the spacing of the shock remains where it should be. I would not go out trying to break any speed records like venture riders like to do,lol. Just keep an eye on the hyfax.
