Well after further investigating, I noticed my speedo pick up gear a little shiny, took the bearing cap off and my drive shaft bearing exploded. Does anyone know if the speedo pick up is replaceable? it has about 1/8th wear from the gear rubbing due to the bearing. And can anyone tell me what...

Thanks Crewchief47, that link was perfect. Just was wondering once that snap ring is out, can the bearing be tapped out or is there a colar retainer behind it? And the upgrade everyone talks about is it just bearings for an 04 Rx1? thanks everyone

Thanks Sled Dog, it does seem to have some excessive slack. Ive searched this entire forum looking for some pics of what the bearings actually look like or a schematic, I found some for the chain case but not the secondary side. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions! I didnt notice if the speedo stopped working, the noise had me pre occupied! I have never searched for the bearings, is the brake side in the chaincase? I am going to tackle it this weekend, hopefully just taking the seal off and repacking would be great if it will...

I have realized what was missing and figured it out, the little rubber coolant connector houses laying in the bottom of the pan! Good times!

On the carb rack is these two outlets (pic) when i took the carb rack off there wasnt any lines to these,the coolant line came up from the bottom and went into the middle tube facing the engine, are these supposed to vent or be attached to hoses that ai dont have?

I will put some more on,i just have one hose coming up from the bottom of the motor but it looks like the carbs have 3 places to hook up to and they werent any when i took them off

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is missing from my carbs on my 03 RX1? I took them off for the first time and im putting them back on and I dont feel comfortable because it looks like im misssing a hose, possibly coolant?? In the pics I have the one hose that connects to the left...

Thanks for the help. One heater was completely gone and just a wire and the other on the wire connector was snapped off and I am assuming I rode all last winter that way! Never had any issues and we rode the black river in Port huron a couple of nights and it was -10 below one night.

Thanks for the help everyone! I just heated it up and bent it back and put on a used plastic cover from the Hastings sno show. Worked better than I thought it would. Btw I watched snowtrails tv today and they aired a ride in the U.P. with some of you guys, it was cool.
