My son in-law has a 07 RTX with a 137 stretched/modified by Schmidt bros. suspension. He has broken three w arms. I put the Star suspension in my 11 144 Apex. We thinking of using the front shock setup with a 11 W arm, the shock mount is the only difference we can see. Has anyone done this?

Oh don't get me wrong, snowmobiling is my number 1 activity no matter what the weather is. I can dress for it and keep on sledding! :)

Snow is cyclical, but have had to cancel several trips the last few years. I have a very flexible work schedule and 8 weeks of vacation, but man it was a very sad winter this year in the UP of Michigan.

Is the snowmobiling seasons over? I have been riding for 50 years and the snow is getting less each year. The 2024 season was almost non-existent in the Michigan UP this year. Sad to hear, RIP to Don and my condolences to his wife. After my stroke in Feb 2022 I have looked at life very different now. Many thanks to my Son in-law (and daughter) as they have been my support to keep me on a sled. If it were for them I would be all done sledding.......

Big thanks to the TY team from me, my wife, my daughter and son in-law. We all had a good time. Was the first time for my daughter and son in-law and they wanted to break out their Apex and Vector to ride with us, the only thing that was missing was snow so we all could have snowmobiled.

Use Ratchet straps to pull it together.

Yamaha 4 stroke, including the Apex motor, longevity put Yamaha out of the sled business. We know how to update the chassis whether it be a r-motion, fast 20 air ride or playing with original chassis, the Apex will keep going long into the future. Last sled I plan on buying before hanging it up...
