    am i screwed ?

Nipple on tank?? Or which one you talking?? Screw that pressurizing, pop the airbox lid and give each carb horn a shot of aerosol carb cleaner. It'll fire right up.

    Chain case top gear floating?

I think you're missing a spacer/washer behind the top gear.

    Chain case top gear floating?

I just had the chaincase apart on my 08 Vector and I'm 99% positive the top gear wasn't floating.

    Chain case top gear floating?

And that's how it was when you pulled it apart?? No other washers??

    Chain case top gear floating?

No. It should be tight. The nut won't go any farther??

    Oil Filter Part Number

As long as it fits in that tight spot, it's fine to use it. The Vectors and RS Nytro have very little clearance there for a longer filter. I've been using the Hiflo HF147 for years now and no issues at all.

    Chain case issues

Wow, low miles to have bearings dying, but anything can happen I guess. Finger tight, and backed off 1/4 turn for tension ?? 75/90 or 80/90 gear oil??

    Chain case issues

You're chain tension isn't too tight, putting undue stress on everything is it?? How many miles on the machine? Something does seem odd. Obviously bearings eventually wear out, but everything in there is in a constant oil bath and should last 10k miles at minimum. And in theory much more.

How many miles on your Apex?

    2800 & 2900 on my pair of '11 XTX'S Barely broke in. :)

    Chain case issues

Yeah, normal. Whole lotta torque being put thru there. How bad were the filings/sparkles in the oil or didn't you pay any attention?

2011 Yamaha Apex XTX rear suspension upper wheels removal

Raise rear or entirely lift,l the sled, remove bolts, skid drops, ( impact works good because the other side/shaft likes to spin), loosen allen head lock/set screws on the collar they are on, and pull them off.

What Did You Do To Your Sled Today???

Helped a co worker/friend do bushings and sync carbs on his Rage this past week. Yes, running boards packed with "borrowed" snow from the neighbors yard to keep the engine cool while syncing the carbs. I tried returning the snow to them, but it seemed to be difficult to scoop back up in...

What Did You Do To Your Sled Today???

Moose... been there done that. I bought an Apex that had a boogered arm and spindle. Bolt was bent, but I could get it beat out with a maul and punch. New bolt, nut, used spindle, used arm, and all was good. Oillite bushings are always a treat too. Tolerances are very tight, which is...

    speedometer says 0

It will, until you'd let off the throttle and try to go again. Then TORS will kick in and it won't move. I had a sensor croak once on my Nytro. I bypassed TORS and rode with no speedo for a week til new sensor arrived. That was middle of the season and wasn't gonna miss out on any riding.

    speedometer says 0

Speedo sensor is junk. Replace it and TORS code 84 will go away after replacement. They go hand in hand. If the ecm doesn't see a speed readout after a certain rpm is reached, it'll throw TORS on for "safety"

    What would you look for

Donuts never done in 17k miles?!?! You sure?? The stockers would NEVER last even half that long. Hell 1/3 that long. Anyway, GLWS.

    Yamaha Mountain Skis

Look at the width differences between your link and mine. It's obvious. Look on eBay at used ones too. No need to spend big money on new.
