I happen to have a Phazer riser here at the moment, so I took a few measurements.
The bolt holes that run through the riser are .368"/9.37mm diameter, and the bolt pattern 1.291"/32.79mm by 2.360"/59.94mm. With that said, the hole pattern in the flange/mounting plate on the steering stem is...
I noticed when that picture was originally posted, that someone had written "06 Summit 1000 162" on the cooler, so I'm guessing that's what it came from. I just did a quick eBay search for that, and the coolers shown in the results looked like the one Digital Fusion installed. Take a look and...
I'll second that! I recently bought some skis from Dmaxx and all aspects of the transaction were excellent. Great communication, product as described, highly recommended! :)
Well, has there been any summer build or re-build progress on this project? I know it's difficult to make time for sled stuff when the weather's nice, but also likely the best time for more extensive mods. :) I heard a two-stroke machine (must have been a Jet-Ski on the river, but sure...
I would think something narrower (possibly 34" as I think I read somewhere you had tested on a Nytro) would make the Phazer even more maneuverable, at least for mountain riders. I don't know that I could commit to buying though, as I've been wanting to design and build my own set.
It looks like this seller has enough parts listed to make one complete front end kit (not sure about the Heim joints though), as long as you don't mind different colors or plan to have them coated anyway...
I also found this one in my collection of Phazer pictures, looks like a Boondocker turbo install with the overflow line going up over the intercooler, though it's hard to say if that was original or if just moved there temporarily during the install/maintenance, etc.
Sorry I didn't see your post sooner, hopefully this will help or maybe you've already figured it out. The upper arrow in the picture below shows the original location of the overflow line, which just dropped down into the lower plastic panel on the side. Upon re-assembling that sled, I...
Sounds like you could use a lathe at the moment! A new tie rod would be an easy one to machine (as long as you can get left and right hand taps) though you may be able to straighten the original enough to be functional, since the bend is rather slight.
Sorry for the confusion, you must have posted about the CP pistons from Hurricane while I was writing that last 'chapter!' You're right though, I actually prefer the deep end of the crazy pool, it's much less crowded over here! :) Though $350 for two pistons may sound steep at first, it is...
You are correct, the picture you posted above shows the plate attached to the intercooler with hose clamps, whereas the pictures I posted show the plate attached to the throttle body. The blue 'gasket' you see in the groove around the perimeter of the plate in the picture you posted above is...
And in case you are running out of things to think about, I was just thinking how I'd love to know the Sidewinder cam specs (since I'd guess Yamaha did some research to match their performance to the turbocharged engine) so I could have some Phazer cams reground to match. I have not seen or...
Ask, and ye shall receive! :) A few pics of the MCXpress throttle body plate setup. I'm guessing the little 'turnbuckle' thing on the Boondocker setup is to keep the intercooler from pulling away from the throttle body/plate under boost. In my opinion, it may not solve the problem (if it was...
I'm really enjoying this project of yours, and had to thank you for doing all the research and posting what you've found. I have been working on my own Phazer project (very slowly, unfortunately) and as you know so well, one thing leads to another and...then it turns into a 'ground up'...
You might reach out to this company with your questions. I don't see anything specific to the Yamaha Phazer (or Nytro) gauge pods on their site, but they may have some experience or knowledge of them, since that appears to be their main business.

Just to make sure I am understanding you correctly, is this the billet piece you are looking for, or is it a different one?

I'm guessing you're looking for the billet replacement link mentioned in the thread? If so, there were some on eBay recently, might be worth checking out, I think there is a link to the auction listing in the thread below...
Hopefully it's fixed! I am a little curious though, what is the condition of the Hyfax and front idler wheels? I'm wondering if they could possibly be worn enough to allow the track to have become close enough to the shock to start rubbing when riding over rough terrain.
Just in case you really want to adjust that stripped one, or make adjustments frequently without worrying about stripping the other, there are billet aluminum versions available. I know Yamaha sells one and likely a few other companies as well.
After looking at the Wahl anti-stab kits, I'm guessing their prices are higher because they have four wheels on the bar, and many others such as this one from Black Diamond Xtreme only have two. If you are handy with and have access to a lathe, you could probably get the cost down to little...
