    144 extension

Sled will most likely be getting ridden 75 on 25 off. Which is why we do not want a 1.75 track. For who is riding the sled, my father, it would have to be set up more for the trails. We want the ability to go offtrail when we take a trip farther north or when a big snowfall comes and the...

    144 extension

Forgot to ask has anyone had any cooling problems on the trail running a 144 extension? Or even reliability issues? Not sure if the extra track weight puts more of a strain on the sled. Is a gearing change needed?

    144 extension

Does the stock xtx nytro come with the tunnel cooler? And what wheels are you guys adding at the tip up? I have seen the x wheels but i would only want one pair with mounts and they don't seem to have pricing on that. Would scratchers make it so i don't need to add any wheels? Also anyone used...

    144 extension

Have read a lot about the 121 to 144 extension and even asked about it last year. well this year is a more probable year to do it and I want to make sure i know everything i will need to price it all out. So far all i know i will need is the tunnel extension, rail extension, track, and new...

    Lets talk Aluminum bolts

Wouldn't the aluminum bolts also be more susceptible to heat compared to steel? Therefor yes at cold temperatures it is only x times weaker than steel but what if you put it on engine parts? The metal must weaken much faster than steel! I wouldn't risk it. However bolts that hold things on such...

    GPS help

So i have been loking at gps systems. and came across the garmin rino 520hcx. and thought since this unit is also a two way radio waterproof and can send coordinates to other riders in the group getting two of these could eliminate the need for chatterboxes. But the thing is, is there anyway to...

    GPS help

Maybe I will try to do a little shopping around and see if I can find them at a low price and maybe get both. I can no longer find the 60csx from a legit site so i am looking a the 62s. and was thinking that the best and cheapest chatterbox to get for snowmobiling is the multisport. How well do...

    GPS help

Thanks all of the gps must do that then since none specify whether or not they do. Would you guys rather have the gps or a chatterbox system. It will be between the two most likely this year and right now i am leaning towards the gps because the chatterbox really only comes in handy if someone...

    GPS help

Anyone have any suggestions for picking out a gps unit? I would like to have one that can record where we have ridden(mark its own trails)if this is even an option. Rechargable would be best as well as the ability to buy the maps online and of course waterproof. I would like to hear some short...

    The forks to greenville maine.

Trails were exceptional. a couple rocks here and there on the connector trail from norther outdoors, but when we hit the its it was all smooth riding. We didn't hit grass, or dirt all day. There was enough loose snow on the trail to drive the crossfire with the 2 inch paddle while keeping up...

    Is my Nytro Normal

If you haven't try reversing the rubber mounts so that the rubber looks like it matches the spindle correctly. it lifted the front of my skis considerably and made them about level if not some more height up front. And as for the front springs wouldn't it be the looser the more ski pressure...

    new ski's

I like the powder pros for two reasons. 1 they have a varying amount of keels and contact with the snow depending on how deep and loose the snow is. Therefore in loose snow more keels will touch the snow and provide an effort on turning instead of sliding. Also when on trail only about 5 inches...

    A-Arm Protector question

just a little tip. if you do oftrail riding clear out some of the snow that they gather while riding. its easier to clear it out as dust than it is as a clump of frozen stuck together snow. a simple wipe with your glove helps the next morning if the sled isn't kept in a heated garage.

    Excessive Hyfax Wear

most importantly trail conditions? what have you been riding in? how loose is the snow? if your running on what is basically ice your slides won't get lubricated or cooled. scratchers will help a ton for hard pack and ifi were you i would look at a ski mounted option due to the short track of...

How to make 07 apex mtx top end faster, geared to low

Also keep in mind hifax wear. the faster you go the more lubrication your slides will need when riding on ice. get a pair of scratchers if you don't already. they will help keep snow in the tunnel and allow the engine and hifax to stay cool. I also really don't think that highspeed runs on a...

    shovel mounting???

if you crash the sled you would be without the shovel if the sled goes ghost riding down the mountain. if it is on you then you will still have access to it. also a 600 pound sled rolling and placing weight on the shovel will more likely break it then a 200 pound person.

    No start.

Got it running. Went out a couple hours later and thought before i try to jump it i'll try it one more time and it turned over. No snow on the trails right now so will try the sled every now and again around the house to see if it still starts up without any troubles.

    No start.

Thanks for the help. Will jump it with a car battery and let it idle to let the battery charge a little and see if it does it again after sitting overnight.
