I have a new to me 09 MTX 153 that I just started to play around with. It is stock. In the few miles that I have put on it putting around with the family, I noticed a pretty good vibration in it. I finally had some time to look at it a bit and checked the bearings and shafts and everything...

Pete, I'm not 100% certain, but I believe the 09 MTX's did not get the updated front geometry. The shorties did, but not the MTX. I think you have to go to the 10 model year to get new front geometry on the MTX. Maybe someone can chime in and correct me if I got it wrong. I hope I'm wrong...

09 MTX with 700 miles. Starter solenoid pooched. At least the new one was only $33.

Does Impulse make a low boost kit? Let me know how it works for you. I have an 09 MTX that might be in line for a little boost once I have the time and money......

What's your thoughts so far? I know a few who really like their MCX 180 kits. It would be nice to have another more local option, especially if it was a touch faster than the MCX. LOL :flag:

I was looking at the online fiche to try and figure out what changes have been done to the MTX front end geometry over the model years. From the fiche, it looks like the sub frames have changed each year and the same sub frame is used on all FX models. Does anyone know if the sub frame...

I have a Challenger 2" x 136" on my 700SX and had the same intent as you to cut it down. I never ended up doing it because I loved the off trail performance. I installed scratchers thinking I would have heating and slider issues and only ever used them once. On groomed trails, it isn't ideal...

I don't know this for 100% fact, but I'm pretty sure snowmobile production offsets other seasonal equipment manufacturing for Yamaha. It think it allows them to better utilize labor. I would have to agree that as a stand alone product, it would be tough to justify.

Doo is going to be in one of the worst positions. The Canadian dollar is appreciating against most world currencies. Doo has recently introduced (and needs to recoup the costs of) more new tech than any other manufacturer. Doo isn't as diversified as Yamaha.

Seen an 06 Attack with 10,000Kms and a 1200 Doo go at it over about 4 or 5 miles of open field last weekend. The Attack ate it for lunch, as it should I suppose. The Doo guy can over after and said he was to the bars the whole way. I would bet a Nytro and 1200 would be neck and neck. I...

They can't even fit an oil injected 600 in the race chassis. A 4 stroke turbo won't go into it without some major changes.
