This is what I did on my '17 LTX SE. Loosen spring preload off front ski shocks somewhat, tighten spring preload on front skid shock. I left my rear spring position stock position, limiter strap on last hole (loose) it was hidden under the washer. Coupler blocks turned to most transfer...
what are all the differences between the 2018 LTX-LE and the LTX-DX. I really like the all black sidewinder in a 137 track, but it is only offered in LTX-DX trim......I would put on a low windshield, and possibly upgrade the front shocks.....are there any other differences? Gearing? Stance...
Is it safe to say by adding a 1/16" helix shim will bring your belt 1/16" deeper into secondary at full shift? I have very minimal paint removed from secondary spring, looks to be a slight amount of coil bind, however I can see how far the belt has travelled to the bottom of the secondary and...
Check your secondary rollers...I bet they have flat spots, mine did after 60 miles...replace with arctic car rollers or ulmer racing rollers....check belt deflection and offset....a lot of guys run an 8dn belt seems to be a stronger belt ..all you have to do is add 1/16" washer to you other...
60 miles LTX-SE, still 8750 rpm and clutch looks like it's shifting out good....2 out of 3 rollers were touching helix ramps, the ones that were touching had flat spots....Sled is bone stock.......i hope the cat rollers work
I tried that but it looked I was contacting the shaft with blocks removed......is their clearance and no contact if you removed the blocks but left the shaft? I have an LTX SE 137
Hey Nos-Pro. I'm looking at a thunder products clutch kit for my stock sidewinder ltx-le..with studs.... how do you think this kit will affect top end speed? Which belt should I use? Thanks!
I'm still waiting on my ltx-le......this is a major piss off, I was expecting the beefed up skid, drilled rotor, don't care about some little goggle bag......the rear skid and rotor are pretty serious marketing error......that is what enticed me get a spring order....not sure what Yamaha is...
D&D got 206 hp production ZR 9000.
Then they got 221.7 with their mod stock can which is a modified stock muffler, very impressive for just a muffler. I asked about the sidewinder tuning and they do expect to have the same results with the sidewinder as Yamaha tuned BOTH cats and Yamaha...
Im planning on studding my LTX-LE it's a 1.25 inch track 137in. What size and how many studs is everyone going with? I wonder if I'll need tunnel protectors or not?
I was told chain is 15 wide hyvo. The dyno reports showed a peak of 204.1 hp @ 8850. Spinning at 8850 will get you 121.42 mph using .91 for overdrive, that is 2.86 pitch and 9t drivers.......Yamaha said these clutches are designed to pull a bit of overdrive so I think it's safe to say an LTX...
Does anybody know how much overdrive these revised Yamaha clutches have? I spring checked a LTX 137 Sidewinder and I am interested in the gear ratio: speeds
