Good idea to put this all in one thread. I'm done with the stock secondary. This will be the last weekend I ride with it. Bit the bullet today. Should arrive next week. I'll need to do some helix/spring testing but I will post results here.
i know changing belts will not cure whatever underlying problem may exist. But has anyone tried an XTX 5058 on their sidewinder yet? I believe it crosses over to the 8JP. I used to run XTX belts hard on my turbo cats...always changed them around 1000-1200 miles just for peace of mind...but they...
Only flashed sled and installed exhaust yesterday. Will be riding all weekend. I'll try and get a buddy to film sled so you can hear it. But probably won't be able post it till after the weekend.
Well I guess that's good news then. This is a whole new clutch setup for me and I'm learning just like everyone else. I for sure don't have evidence of paint worn off on all/both sides of coil. BUT I do think it's slipping the belt. My previous turbo sled had the clutches pictured below. They...
Just thought I would post up a pic of my exhaust setup. I know some states and provinces like to hand out tickets if the exhaust is aftermarket regardless of sound levels. I have never been harassed with my previous turbo cats...but when I changed this one out I figured I would go the extra...
Was just out for a little ride. Approx 6-8" of powder. Did a few pulls on the lake and stopped and checked clutch temps. Belt, primary, and secondary hotter than I would like...and hotter than when I had previously checked them. Drove back to garage and pulled secondary. Pics below show...
on another note...and please people don't bash me for saying...if you are ok with Team clutches....there are thundercat's and zr 9000 LTD's out there available on showroom floors that have the qs3r. A friend of mine already wrote off his sno checked thundercat, and was able to buy another one.
I certainly can't answer you exact question...but I can tell you this. I love my LTX-SE Leaps and bounds better than my previous procross chassis sleds in both 800 2 stroke and 4 stroke. I think it handles great (minus shitty ski's) I have done very little tweaking and it just keeps getting...
You can tune multiple ecu's with one map tuner X. That's one of the main reasons I bought it. I plan on tuning an RZR turbo in the spring with it. BUT you need to add the other vehicle to your profile, and buy the tune that you want. Can't just buy one tune...and flash every tom dick or...
That's my plan. Within a few weeks I am sure guys will try some stuff and share findings. This sidewinder is my first modern yamaha...and new to this forum. Gotta say its a great resource of info...and very little B.S:rocks:
Yes they will be ready soon. But without testing who's to know what angle to buy?? I know we have a straight 35 in there now. Maybe first one to try is a straight 38? I can't afford to buy 10 and then test them all lol
Not really what I'm looking for. I'm looking for HP vs RPM. Trying to see if on glare ice it will be ok to clutch a little lighter and let it rev more for a few more mph. I "think" it makes peak hp around 8900. But wondering what hp is still at if climbs to say 9200
Maybe if EVO see's this they can chime in. I have looked but not seen a dyno chart for the tunes. I am not looking to start a dyno number war...just trying to see what the hp vs rpm looks like on the top end so I have a better idea what to clutch too, and to see how much power is lost as rpms...
